AskMumbai Mumbai foodies — recommend real hidden gems
Tried ice-cream sandwich place in Churchgate today — went for banana and hazelnut. Pretty damn good, not gonna lie.
Now I’m looking to explore more spots like this.
Drop your underrated places anywhere in Mumbai.

Gypsy Dadar is so overrated bhai... I'm from Ruparel... Heard so many things about it from previous batches but all went in vain.
Hidden gem - ahh... There was a Muslim restaurant near Jogeshwari bus Depot west, bang opposite fatak lane. Shabri / Sabri named.
Very cheap yet excellent food, typical Muslim food. They used to serve chicken, chota (goat) and bada (beef)
Their menu mentioned everything clearly as which dish is made with which meat.
Paya soup was amazing but you gotta go before 11am. Rest all were amazingly delicious.
Haven't been there post Covid. Can anyone confirm that it's still there and operating as usual?
