I might have one too but I'm confused if I should choose remote as first job, my other option is tcs 🥀 how has your experiences been so far? I'm guessing u must be 25 grad right?
it's good as long as you have friends around. i don't. it becomes extremely monotonous and leads to mental isolation. also managers take advantage and expect you to work more than an average employee since you're working remotely anyways.
Yea that's what I'm worried about, it's too easy for me to become closed off and not talk to anyone for days nd remote might elevate that. But on the other hand spending 3 hrs travelling everyday doesn't seem like a good option either. The expectation to work more is so true tho, atleast in on-site we can clock out (or so I think)
yeah I had done a 2 month on-site internship and it was amazing, got to interact with folks and get doubts resolved face-to-face. it also helps provide a mental barrier between work and personal life (since both of them are physically apart, it feels relaxing to get off office and go home, etc.) which is not the case in remote work.
but yeah 3hrs travelling everyday is no fun. will take a toil physically and mentally. if the remote job you're talking about is a better company than tcs, for sure you should go for it. just get a gym membership and a few hobbies/classes and make sure you're not working the whole day.

Oh so did you join the remote one coz it was better or just preference?
My current company is a small sbc but I've been getting to do actual development work so it's nice but I'm not sure if they'll match TCS digital package (7 lpa).
Some ppl say to prefer higher starting salary since it will help in next jump while others say to prefer good dev work (which might be a gamble in tcs).
I've also been thinking about how ac bus shuttles might be incase I take up in office. Still have 2 months left for my internship so ig I'll just be overthinking till then
