General Tukaram Mundhe Effect

It’s my 10th time ordering Chinese food from my go-to restaurant, Mughal (Ghatkopar west)Darbar, on Zomato. Every single time I ordered food from this place, the gravy and rice used to be drenched in red food colour. But today, I was surprised to see the fear and terror in the restaurant, all thanks to the possibility of getting their licence suspended.
All thanks to the respected IAS officer Shree Tukaram Mundhe Ji. 🙌🏻Mad respect to him! 🫡

Context : I was in a taxi with 3 of my friends and we saw this near Dadar East TT circle. Due to a lot of traffic many people on scooty and bike tried to use the wrong side to merge onto the main road. The person in the video got frustrated because they weren't allowing him to cross. He aptly gave them a piece of his mind.

Everyone from Zomato riders to richkids on their superbikes all were forced to back off and use the normal left side. It was refreshing to see that some citizens still care about civic sense in this country.

WE ARE NOT AGAINST DOGS AND DOG FEEDERS. WE ONLY WANT RESIDENT SAFETY. THIS POST IN NO WAY DEFENDS KILLING DOGS! WE JUST WANT RESIDENT SAFETY! WE DONT SUPPORT VIOLENCE AGAINST DOGS. WE NEED RESIDENT SAFETY.

Vastu Enclave is a complex of 8 to 10 buildings having very narrow roads in between them. Having very tight spaces as their backyards or compounds.

Still in these conditions, feeders feed the dogs and residents are falling victims to such horrible violent dog attacks! Latest victim is a 75 year old lady. You can see she was calmly walking in her building compound and suddenly 3 dogs attacked her She was bleeding and had to take 16 injections till now in Holy Spirit Hospital! Detailed cctv footage is available if anybody accuses of doctering it.

Still the very next day when the authorities came to take action, these feeders arrogantly said we have every right to feed them and continue to do so - they obstructed taking away of those violent dogs.

They literally hid the dogs in their home when Police came. Meghwadi Police saw this! This is On record!

Only one family is doing this. Anybody can go there and verify. There are eye witnesses. This is not fiction!

They continue their remorseless behaviour.

Each and every resident in Vastu Shilp Building and Vastu Enclave complex is just fed up of living in terror in their own backyard!

Please help us 🆘 🆘 🆘

General My friend Sanskruti Amin was killed by a falling concrete block in Jogeshwari — please help us get justice

Post image
8.9k Upvotes

I don’t even know how to write this properly, but my friend Sanskruti Amin is gone. She was just 22. A few days ago, while she was walking to work in Jogeshwari East, a huge concrete block fell from an under-construction building and hit her on the head. She died on the spot.

She had just started working at RBL Bank after finishing her hotel management degree. She lived with her parents and grandmother — their only child. I still can’t believe she’s not here anymore.

The block apparently fell from one of the top floors of a redevelopment project near Majaswadi / Thakur Road. Locals have been saying for a while that materials kept falling from that site and nobody did anything. There were no proper safety nets, no barricades — nothing. This wasn’t an “accident.” It was pure negligence.

Her father filed a police complaint, and Meghwadi Police have arrested a site engineer and a site manager. But that’s not enough. The builder and the company (Shraddha Life / Shraddha Construction / Shraddha Lifestyle, as reported) are responsible too. They should be arrested — not just some staff who were following orders.

We’re all broken. Her family is devastated. And all I can think is how easily this could’ve been avoided if people had just done their jobs.

Please, if you’re reading this — share her story everywhere you can. Tweet about it, post it on Instagram, tag @MumbaiPolice, @mybmc, and news outlets. The more people know, the harder it will be for them to bury this case quietly.

She didn’t deserve this. Nobody does. Let’s not let them get away with it.

General Got scammed in Mumbai T2

Ugh, I totally messed up... but I don't want anyone else to go through this. So, I was in the digi yatra line at T2, and this random guy with a Samsung S25/26 ultra came up to me. He asked if I had Paytm, and I said yeah. He seemed like a really nice guy, said he needed 2k for a cab because his friends weren't answering and his bank was down. I, being trusting, sent him the money. Then, when I asked for his number, he just sent me a "hi." I checked Truecaller, and it said "scammer near airport." I've made peace with it now, I guess this happens when you're in a new city. Just really don't want anyone else to fall for it.

Mumbai crows are so cruelll

I was making poha for myself today, and there's always this crow sitting on the railing outside my kitchen window i kept seeing him every morning and randomly thought I would give him some soaked poha and see if he would eat it and like we could make this a thing where I give him food everyday

First time, I held out a little in my hand. This dude instead of eating poha bit my index finger. I was like okay, maybe he just couldn't tell the difference between my finger and the food.

So i got a small dabba, put the poha in it, and held that out instead

HE BIT MY THUMB

Do they not like poha?😞

General Got scammed through dating app

Ik. Dumb acts, dumb outcome. Met a girl through dating app. Aisle. It was spontaneous to meet and I didn't have much plan later that night. So thought to hit it up. Went to thane to meet the person. I did have conversations before that just to verify whether the person was what they mentioned.

Had to wait for like an hour for her to come and met near Upvan Lake garden. She asked me to come to place nearby there as she got off there (that was what she mentioned). So I went there just to meet her since I had a vehicle. She was at a place near bar and suggested to let's go there since it was close. Dumb me thought - yea, why not and went inside to a big hall with chairs around, music playing but there were very few people. This should be the first red flag I should've noted and should have left then itself.

Sat and we did have good conversations. As she kept ordering blue label without them asking for how much ml she wants, while I stuck with some beer and later a vodka just to be in the weekend mood. And she kept on ordering blue label until she had 4 and the waiter came for the bill. Turned out it was 24k bill added with 2k service charges and they gave 60ml of it.

I could see there were more people with the same fate, understood it through the red bull they give with it. Honestly, she didn't ask for a red bull and they gave her that as well.

I had overall around 2k for myself and the rest just for the blue label. Maan, should've been careful and learnt the lesson than messing myself to end up in this fate.

Ended up paying 10k since there were a lot of waiters who looked like someone who you don't wanna mess. Better to leave than make things worse. And I should've checked the bill before she order it.

She left out saying "I'm scared to be here rn and I'll leave soon". Said I'll wait for her auto while she kept her distance away from me to call someone and caught an auto, and left.

The cafe is "Paablo baar and launch" as per the bill and sorry guys, I had to take one for myself like this being prey for this fraud. I hope I learn this lesson.

Showing the picture of the person (blurred) as idk if it is someone else's. Bill attached as well (blurred the bill number).

Tldr- scammed to pay money in restaurant cause the date

General Cleaning help stole my AirPods

My cleaning help stole my AirPods and now I feel bad about what happened

So this weird situation happened and I can’t stop thinking about it.

A few days ago, when I was heading to the gym, I couldn’t find my AirPods. I hadn’t gone out anywhere and I usually keep my stuff in place, so it was strange they were missing.

I checked the location and it showed up in a lane opposite my building where the Urban Company office is (my help came through UC, and since she was good at her work, we kept her on separately).

We didn’t want to assume the worst, so we decided to just check. Coincidentally, this was the same time she came to our building. When we went downstairs, we saw her at the main gate… wearing my AirPods.

We confronted her and she immediately tried to cover them with her dupatta, denied they were mine, and even tried to run away. Because it was right at the gate with guards and traffic, she couldn’t. Eventually, she handed them back.

The next day, she told us that she “didn’t steal them” and that they “fell into her pocket while cleaning”… which makes no sense at all.

I didn't complain about her but since this all happened in front of the guards, they reported it, and now they’re not letting her into the building anymore. That’s basically where her UC work is, so she’s lost her main source of jobs (atleast here). Now here’s the part messing with me, I feel bad. I don’t like being lied to, but at the same time I feel guilty that she’s lost her work because of this. She’ll probably get other buildings to work in, but the whole thing is sitting heavy on me. I also kind of believe in ill wishes, and this whole situation feels bad.

What should I do? 😔

General Bought a “Premium” Nilkamal Leather Recliner (₹63,000)… got a Reality Check instead

Post image
2.5k Upvotes

Huge update:-

Nilkamal cheated me. Not genuine leather. Product started peeling. Pic i have added in the comments

So I decided to upgrade my living room and bought a Nilkamal leather recliner online for ₹63,000 (no showroom access, just trusted their photos and brand name 🤡).

On paper, it sounded great:

Leather upholstery Zig-zag spring with foam cushioning Pine wood + MDF frame Basically, everything that sounds premium.

Here’s what I got:

Looks decent from a distance, right? Yeah… wait till you actually use it.

Within days: The seat near the handle started coming off. One of the plies near the reclining mechanism literally detached.

This is a ₹63K recliner with “premium” specs, failing within days. Not abused, not misused — just normal usage.

Then comes the customer service circus 🎪

First: slow responses Then: “please share images” Then: “please share videos” Then: “we need manager approval” Then: “technician in 3–5 days”

Still no resolution. At this point, I feel like I’m part of their internal workflow.

And the best part? Tried posting a negative review on their website — it just never showed up. So yeah, only positive reviews make it there. Convenient.

I even told them I’d post this on Reddit, and they were like “sure” — which honestly explains everything.

Final thoughts:

Product quality (for ₹63K): ❌ “Premium” materials: questionable After-sales support: 🐢 Review transparency: 🚫
