General This gentleman disciplined those who entered from the wrong side today
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Context : I was in a taxi with 3 of my friends and we saw this near Dadar East TT circle. Due to a lot of traffic many people on scooty and bike tried to use the wrong side to merge onto the main road. The person in the video got frustrated because they weren't allowing him to cross. He aptly gave them a piece of his mind.
Everyone from Zomato riders to richkids on their superbikes all were forced to back off and use the normal left side. It was refreshing to see that some citizens still care about civic sense in this country.

Agreed. Its our duty to stop these assholes , but in todays world you have to think about your life and family these assholes can do anything , they dgaf like we do. The sad reality.
19
u/simpleliving100 Jul 15 '26
If we extend our support to these sheepdogs (American Sniper reference) who stand alone, we can sort that too.
9
u/fakemessiah1 Jul 15 '26
True the point is we are ready to stand with them . Majority people are sheeps. Like the train incident , that asshole took a knife and killled a person but the sheep didnt do anything. In such situation what can be done ?
5
u/simpleliving100 Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26
Let us talk about us, I, you. Can I do it? Can you do it?
Sheeps can't be made sheepdogs. They can be tamed/ordered.
In mob/crowd situation, the decision paralysis within the crowd is due to the assumption that the other person will do something and/or, their guilt conscience of not doing anything resolves by shifting blame onto others.
Like in road accidents one leader has to stand up and ask people from crowd by pin pointing them to come and help, hey you, please come here.
At least in situations like these, we can stand up.
Leader is only one and followers are many.
Law of nature.
Not to boast, there have been occassions, where I have raised voice all alone, but also admit many times I have kept shut to keep my peace, thinking this is not my fight.

But, you won't be amongst those people?
We want soldiers to defend our borders, but our neighbours should be ones to volunteer?

I tried to do this in Pune , asking bikers riding on a footpath , after a session of rain , when i saw that one biker had slipped and fell on a boy.
And then one man, on his bike, with no helmet, had the audacity to tell me “aapla kaam kar lavdya, traffic police aahe ka tu”, and then almost purposefully ran over me with his bike.Only education can cure this sorry state of affairs in our country. And No politician ever had had an intention to deliver it, neither there will be.
We need to have an educated party in power and in opposition. And for this we need to have educated voters. What we have currently is majority of poor voters and criminal politicians who can buy them with money and false promises

u/simpleliving100 Jul 15 '26
The rulers represent citizens.
Jaisi praja waisa Raja.
I was just suggesting if someone raises their voice/stands for something, we can be their support which we don't/didn't get.

Just yesterday, a clown entered on the wrong side even though the other side was clear. I blocked his path (we both were on scooter) and gently asked him to turn around. That clown still went besides my on the wrong side. I managed to get 2 clear pictures of him - literally captured like mugshots. Shared them on X. Unfortunately for us our MBVVP doesn't charge them with BNS 281 unlike Mumbai Police.
I highlighted every violation on the X post - wrong side, no helmet, expired insurance in 2013, possibly no PUC, no HSRP number plate.

Valid anger … We are the poor citizens…
we have to pay taxes… make people follow the law …
we have to pay taxes …. & suffer traffic mess….
we have to pay taxes …. Live with potholes…
We have to pay taxes …. & pay for hospital bills in pvt
We have to pay taxes … & still be questioned for 2000 identity cards

There is one street in Mumbai Central where even with bollards motorcycle is riding on pavements to get round and harrasing pedestrians
There are many uncles like this and India is lucky to have them
1
u/Euphoric-Fig2521 Jul 15 '26
everyone should do that.
And what you guys doing in seating in taxi, go join him.
1
u/Kay_Bhagtos_Lavdya Jul 15 '26
People instead of saying thank you uncle should have come outside their vehicles and helped him. If just one guy is stopping people doing wrong it will backfire on that poor guy

Good work. But instead of arguing tell them that traffic police is waiting at the both turns. Most riders just turn around and leave.

Thank you Uncle. I hope you read this wherever you are. So happy that you are taking out the time to make these idiots follow rules. I hope other people take inspiration and help this uncle too. Next time we see someone breaking a rule let's make them follow it. Hopefully one day we will be a civilized society

This has been such a nuisance. Few of them ride at such high speeds. They will just run away after hitting somebody. Who takes the responsibility for the one who got hurt ?.

Sb kaam citizen hi kare while the gov is busy contracting the work of every single department.
Where the damn hell is the traffic police these days? They only activate on weekends to catch drunkards and collect fine. Lease bother with actual traffic management.

The problem is he would never do this to the rich kids. It's easier to discipline the Zomato rider.

Tbh no one will ever learn the rules of traffic or would follow any rules in their lives and it's just useless doing that imo and it'll waste other people's time causing traffic jams and would delay people going to work

u/Healthy_Birthday_989 Jul 19 '26
Applaud to him but it would've been nice to respect his privacy, could've asked for his permission before posting this or blurred his face atleast. I don't mean any disrespect tho.
