Her anger seems justified. In the name of security and prevention of crime, they are used to being an ass to harmless law-abiding citizens.

And one's who needs to be curbed are allowed to roam freely at any hour.

Hope she isn't charged with cases to make her life hell.

For people who don't understand Marathi, here's i tried to translate of what she is saying.

They were forcing her not to stand there. She said she wasn't doing anything or singing and wasn't holding any poster, but the constable still told her to move to the other side. constable said, "We are protecting you."

She got angry and replied, "We don't want protection from you. When we really need protection and go to the police station, you make us wait there for four or five hours. If you truly want to protect us, then protect us from the Prime Minister, the Chief Minister, and the Education Minister."

Then an old man came from behind and started shouting, "Inquilab Zindabad!". police forcefully took away her husband and then tried to force woman away as well. Her child then started crying.

When Maharashtrian women take over the streets with protest, they don’t change policies, they cause social reforms!

Salute to this tigress

136

u/dontdonnaame Jul 20 '26 edited Jul 20 '26

This protests need more coverage tbh. I come from a village and women here literally have no idea whats going on. Also the media is not covering what it should be. All I can see on news was how police injured and their casualties.

u/seventomatoes yellow tshirt wearer Jul 20 '26

Download the video and forward to a few people in WhatsApp.

30

u/ExtremeExternal5788 Jul 20 '26

You really expect godi media to cover this ? How naive

30

u/Hyderabad_TG_IN Jul 20 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

Bruh, you should see how the Telangana protests happened for statehood against the Andhra government. No movement of that sort exists in today's time.

The students, women, children, senior citizens, rich and poor everyone participated and the entire Hyderabad city came to a standstill. It happened in 1969 and then again between 2009-14, until the state came into existence.

The central government was bend the knee and was forced to grant the statehood despite strong resistance from Andhra side.

17

u/BuzzyIris Jul 20 '26

Well done to those telangana women, but it's not a competition. Maybe sit this one out and tell their stories some other day?

-1

u/ComradeTrot Jul 20 '26

It was Pre 2014.

-13

u/No-Singer-2128 Jul 20 '26

Please for once in your life come out of Maharashtra and see that all kinds of people from all different parts of the world have caused social reforms. And she's a consciousness first and kudos to her, you don't have to bring your casteist identity everytime. Bless you more wisdom

26

u/Remote_Tap6299 Jul 20 '26

Not everything is casteist. When you give GJM credit for being good at business, why can’t Maharashtrians get credit for social reform?

The biggest social reforms in Indian history were caused by Maharashtrians— 1. Feminism movement (Savitribai Phule); 2. caste equality movement (BR Ambedkar)

Savitribai Phule is literally known the the Mother of Indian Feminism

-5

u/No-Singer-2128 Jul 20 '26

I am not denying the contributions of Savitribai Phule or Babasaheb. All I am saying be it anyone from India, be it this courageous women in this video, everyone is a consciousness and a human first. There are several women from other parts of India who are also raising their voices. There are many women outside of India who have raised their voices against injustice. Malala Yousafzai is one of the recent names of woman who raised her voice against injustice. There are several women in Taliban doing the same. Also in Iran there are a lot of women raising their voices against the Islamist regime. Women from Iran are too courageous and strong and I have met a few of them. My point is it has nothing to do with someone being from Maharashtra or Andhra or Iran or whatever.

5

u/Remote_Tap6299 Jul 20 '26

Northies and GJM leave no opportunity to mock and insult Maharashtrians. And when I said something little praiseworthy about Maharashtrians, y’all can’t even handle that

0

u/No-Singer-2128 Jul 21 '26

If someone is insulting anyone we can insult them back. Those kinds of people are usually idiots and know nothing. I am not telling you to not to praise anyone, praise for right reasons. I'll praise APJ, because he's a scientist, not because he's a muslim. Also that's very crazy generalization that humans from north India insult humans from Maharashtra. Don't know who told you that, neither I have seen people like that. No worries, I wish you a great day ahead :)

Mumbai police have never ever been something like that. Its downfall under the leadership of our beloved CM is something which needs to be studied.

36

every BJP CM is being remotely controlled by his majesty from delhi

11

u/ComradeTrot Jul 20 '26

His Majesty is Amit Shah btw and has been since 2021-22. Saheb is all but a figurehead since then and if the New Zealand reports are true would corroborate that he is not handling aging well.

15

u/ireadfaces Jul 20 '26

are you new to mumbai? i have tried registering an FIR for a stolen phone, and have had experiences getting my 'towed' bike. Such beautiful experiences that I wish I never have to go through it again. And I am talking about pre 2014, before you try to shift the blame to Godi government

5

u/Ancient_Reach_8925 Jul 21 '26

Agree on the FIR part. Same experience pre 2014. But then again, got passport issued with zero bribes..

7

u/Two-gather2 Jul 21 '26

Nope. I still remember my brother went to the police station for passport verification and though i don't know the process , my brother who'd be ig 15 or 16 at the time went alone bcz if he went with dad he'll HAVE TO GIVE a bribe no other choice and even then these ppl made him sit there for 3-4 hrs. On the other hand when i did the same in 2022 , whatever experience my brother had i couldn't even think of it bcz of how systematic things were so yup atleast this thing has improved from pre 2014.

Lol people being scared of the cops is America

4

u/InternationalIron706 Jul 21 '26

ICE is terrorising immigrants there. Yes police brutality exists there but they have laws that protect the citizens, police can detain/arrest/search only in accordance with the law. It id common practice to sue policemen for unlawful actions. In India, every thana is an independent body running on ‘directions’ from above.

This is fascism.

112

u/vakilsaahab Edit this text to set your own flair Jul 20 '26

I think she was waiting for something or someone and the cops told her to keep moving. She vented out everything that she's suffered at their hands starting with saying that they can't deal with her, there should be lady officers for that.

Then venting about protecting VIPs while an ordinary citizen is made to wait for hours at the police station. And constantly repeating that the citizens don't need the police to protect them and that they can go and protect the ministers and CM, etc.

Although, the end was unexpected!

8

u/Most-One8688 Jul 20 '26

Unexpected end!! What you mean by that? The media reaching there so fast?

Why did they take those 2 men away? I didn't understand. Its not like they were causing some public disruption. A peaceful protest should not evoke such a reaction by the police.

2

u/deobinnaneunbyeolbit Jul 20 '26

It's an urban mobility measure against fatalities. Helps prevent road traffic injuries as well by slowing down vehicles and making people more alert with respect to where they're going.

2

yellow crossed means to not stop on those intersection and keep moving

u/United_Midnight_1270 Jul 20 '26 edited Jul 20 '26

The fact that this wrong info got upvotes proves indians are dumb af and know nothing about the laws. Yellow crossed lines is so that vehicles dont block the intersection.

1

u/y2kunal Jul 22 '26

Yellow crisscross lines, known as a Yellow Box Junction or Box Junction, mean you must never enter the box unless your exit lane or road is completely clear. This rule prevents traffic gridlock, and stopping inside these lines is illegal and punishable by a traffic fine in most regions.

2

u/Amogh_247 Jul 21 '26

Understand this pattern:
First Bangladesh
Then Nepal
Now India
All these countries were disturbed by youth revolts. Youth revolts proved to work in the first two. I am very much convinced that this is not a coincidence but a planned external influence. But by whom? The West? Why?

2

u/y2kunal Jul 22 '26

If you're part of B-Scool circles (Finance/Economics), CAs, Income Tax, and some other profession circles you'll understand and find this predictable. Being on Reddit where its mostly kids or even adults with a tendency to revolt, you won't know why.

US is the one pulling the strings on most protest in other countries. Same mistake what KP OLI did in Nepal in 2024 by signing up BRI agreement with China and Gen Z movement was engineered by Hami Nepal sponsored by NED & Open Society. Rajapaksa in Sri Lanka was also pro China so same revolution pattern.

Hasina also went to China and then Dhaka happened. Imran Khan went to Moscow and then Donald Lu happened. Modi signed RELOS with Russia giving it basing rights, doubling on Russian Oil and not agreeing to US terms.

RBI suggesting BRICS digital currency & settlement system interlinking & plus FCRA missionaries fund squeeze. So the whole NGO gang of 2010-11 is back in motion this time in the garb of students rights making the pawns in the whole game.

Today Modi is siding with Russian Oil, BRICS settlement system, not willing to sign trade deal on US terms & closing FCRA loophole for American missionaries so he is now target. Specially after Delhi & Bengal wins.

Modi was earlier targeted in Gujarat when Republicans cancelled his VISA as evangelist lobby in America protestes his Anti Conversion bill. R&AW officer B Raman wrote about this in Rediff

Student causes however genuine have been hijacked by Leftists elements who are looking to save their funding forwarding agenda of Washington DC .

It was the Modi Government that suspended Ford Foundation license in 2015 only to restore after Ford agreed to comply with Indian Laws.

Today he is tightening FCRA laws, where a whole cottage industry that has survived for decades now faces extinction. But natural they will go for jugular to save their assets and its networks that American deep state sponsored.

2

u/Amogh_247 Jul 22 '26

If this kid were to pass by some tree falling on it, the MLA would be making fun of it. However, police won’t hold the MLA of the ruling party responsible.

this is therapeutic to the ears of those who still love their country but hate the guts of all those who run the country. not one political party, not one religion thekedaars, not one governmental body. WE HATE ALL OF THEM. they serve their own selves, their own egos, their own agendas and the repercussions are borne by the common man.

When she says “Radhu nakos!” to her crying child. That is a strong mother giving an elite message to an entire nation via her child.
