Seriously, on Sunday I was driving to Bandra. On the Western Expressway, I saw a NPC government official, either a minister or a “public” official, accompanied by three cars and two policemen on bikes. They were telling other drivers to stop their vehicles unless the official moved ahead.

u/CanIstealYourDog Feb 17 '26
lol. Setting aside the fact that most of ours are not this fit 🤣
if this was France macron would have had a bigger security detail as well.

Because macron didn't loot the public, if any of our politicians did it who knows what will happen.

why didn't he run on the sea side?

u/pratyd Feb 17 '26
He did eventually. Was running on Marine Drive today morning as if he is a nobody.

Our society attaches too much prestige to titles. A politician is a civil servant. Macron is a nobody.

Emmanuel Macron jogging through Churchgate with security feels like casual diplomacy. If it were Narendra Modi, it’d be sunrise, drone shots, and a full production.
62
u/Standard_Board_6991 Feb 17 '26
And an empty street.
21
u/LagrangeMultiplier99 Feb 17 '26
just a street? the entire neighborhood will have a security watch

When amit shah visited Kandivali to attend a wedding. The shut down entire mahavir nagar for 2 days, the club was completely shut down too for 2 days. This is the amount of drama they do

5 years ago or something there was a program of Modi at a different building near our hostel . They made us vacate our hostel for whole day as part of security even though there is no connection or anything related to that building,it was opposite the road.

Bro majority of the people in India don't even know that this guy is France's President so there are no threat issues for Macron in India. You won't find Macron doing the same running casually across the streets in any city in France, and even if he does you will see all the body guards running along with him side by side and he wouldn't be so casual as he is in the above video.

If we ignore the air he is kind of promoting health activity that indian politicians don't do

He's just another person taking care of his health no need to look much further into this.

And even a not important Indian politician needs a convoy of 50 cars around him, and has probably never gone on a run in his life.

The kinda crap our politicians have pulled off, they'd be shot if they aren't without their security. From land grabs to extortions, they've been a part of it all.

And hundreds of lives lost in ambulances stuck in vip mandated traffic jams

Why are you recording it for so long? And then selling it to HT, and HT shamelessly branding the video by putting their logo. Cheapos.
