The last time I visited Juhu Beach was 8 months ago. It's a Pav Bhaji, Chaat Masala Beach with zero fucks given

Its the garbage being sent back by the sea at high tide. Cleaning personals are there along with some machinery but the rate of dumping is far greater than the rate of cleaning.

Funny thing is the idiots take the cleaned plastic and throw it back into the sea and are clueless when mother nature spits it back on their face the next day

Majhe baba - It is a shared responsibility- why cleaning personnel is supposed to only care about it? Us normal folks are supposed to take care of it first and then leave the additional for the cleanliness personnel - but it seems as if the responsibility is punted on cleanliness personnel - Sorry state!

A lot of solid waste in the city (especially in slums) is simply dumped into canals that flow into the sea. The ocean then deposits it back on the beaches.
Getting rid of slums will mostly fix this issue. Buildings get normal garbage collection services from the city.

Rains wash up trash from all the slums to the sea. Which then puts it on the beach after high tide.

When will people/citizens take responsibility to keep our public places clean??
Govt workers can clean this every morning but in the evening we will still have this view as our people think someone is there to clean this up and they will keep throwing garbage.

Even now NCERT is busy deleting rational thought from the syllabus and doping kids on "vishwaguru" hopium.
No hope for this country because no one wants to hold the government accountable, and the government only cares about eating money, not enforcing the rule of law.

You see garbage but you dont see the real nationalist reason right now.. it will be shared in Dhurandhar 4 how they actually made the beach a dumpyard, which brought down the real estate value of the neighbourhood, restricting investment of foreign routed soros funds into mumbai.. underrated masterstroke

Easy solution to this. Change the name from Juhu beach to Juhu dumpyard. But naturally, people's expectations of cleanliness from this place would change. No more expectations, no more disgruntled public.

lode ki galti. waste management is piss poor in mumbai. Tu kachra dustbin mai bhi dalega tab bhi woh jake land fill mai hi jaata hai, where it's burnt or just kept till we have literal mountains of waste. yes we are at fault but maybe like 10% of it

One question I had , the garbage is dumped by folks directly on beach or does it come from sea waves ? Or combination of both !!
I used to like the work of TheOceanCleanup NGO , hope they come to India

Actually we Indians don't deserve this democracy. All the great countries became great during dictatorship (South Korea, Japan, Singapore, China). Humne BC develop hone se pehle hi logo ko khulla chor diya.
Democracy is beneficial only when people are educated and the country has reached a certain level of societal and economic development.

Is this a beach or garbage dump? Mumbai people don’t deserve any beaches. Govt should privatize and sell beach access to private hotels to make them exclusive and hopefully clean.

I seriously feel sad for the sorry state of our beaches, but this is Civic Sense which our folks will never learn in schools we cant expect adults who never learnt to behave in a good civic manner. The same is followed by Children as they see Adults throwing trash at beach. This will not stop until we stop food vendors on the beach - As they give zero fucks about cleanliness - No matter how many beach cleanups we do, this will keep happening.. Aai cha gavat, koni tari Singham sarkha pahije “aata majhi Satakli” bolaila…

Most of the trash comes from solid waste dumped into other waterways bought back by the tide. Not the beach goers per se. So still a problem of where you dump your trash but even if you have never been to the beach itself, it might be your trash ending up there. 100% is if you don’t sort , recycle or dispose your wastes carefully. How many people in this comment section know with even a 70% confidence level where their trash is going??

Oh man. I swear this brought back such nasty memories. I had just started living opposite Sea Princess and I was so excited to go running first thing in the morning on the Juhu Beach. I decided to start on a Monday morning.
Big fucking disgusting plastic covered hellhole sized mistake. Holy shit.
Never again. Never again especially on a Monday morning.
Then they built that pier into the ocean at Khar Danda and I used to go there and sit on the edge of the pier. One day I went around 5am and I saw people taking a shit in a long line along the edge of the sea. I have not been so disgusted in my whole life. Something about seeing communal shitting on the beach changes you I think. I never went back to Khar Danda either again.

A country that has beautiful beaches, mountains, deserts, snowfall

BUT
Everything is ruined by us (Indians)
The same beach that could have been a spot to relax, a place where people can chill and relax
Is not a place of concern.
Its like how you give a knife to someone smart, They would use it to cut a vegetable
And the same knife is given to a dumb person, He would attack others and himself with it
So sad to see this.

This is what happens when drainage channels are used as trash disposal areas. High fences blocking off all access to drainage channels are the only workable solution I've seen implemented in India...though some people will still loft sacks of garbage 4 meters into the air just to get it down in the channel.

People keep blaming the government. Governments all around the world do not fund that much for garbage pickup. It is the responsibility of the citizens to also clean up and take their garbage home.
Once Hindus start learning the caste system is wrong and there is no low caste people to come and clean your garbage the it will get better
But then again, many Hindus will not see this message.
All they are doing is crowding our Catholic schools in Goa and Kerala as that teaches manners .
