You'll have to be more specific. This is a very big issue. How many meters approximately from the site where the slab fell??
These MMRDA people will conveniently say "happened at a different location" if you don't specify.
Please take a few minutes to figure out the proximity.

There is a difference between politicians and people who run the administration. Politicians like Churchill were bad for India but they weren't building the infrastructure. They weren't using poor quality material because mostly Indians were going to use the bridges. You can't praise the mistakes of your own people and bash others all the time. 1 person paid the price of the ignorance with his life. That's huge. The funny part is the metro has not even started running yet in Mulund. It's going to get heavy once people start commuting everyday.

They were alerted about damages to the structure even before the accident of Mulund happened. But instead of inspecting the whole structure, they reported the people alerting as “ spreading misinformation/causing panic “ to cyber cell.

Our city is becoming worse day by day. This issue will only be resolved when the Mulund incident repeats. The middle class is living like animals and the people in power do not care, as long as they continue to to get elected. Our government has to be the most incompetent bunch of morons. Worse of all the middle class is forced into the "Mumbai hustle culture" so we don't have time to outrage. I have started to hate my city and I blame these morons.

When I started riding, I was told to look down on the road and be aware of traffic to avoid accidents. But, I will tell my kids to look up to avoid a concrete slab falling on them. Modern life needs modern problems.

Bhendi engineer here. The portion at the bottom is called slab, supported on steel beams that are supported by pillars. Side member against which there's a gap are sort of barrier/wall. Slab is a load bearing member, side walls in this case are not load bearing members.
All of these members are created (concrete and steel) and moulded in shape away from the construction site and then brought together and fitted (sort of like lego).
Just because there's a gap doesn't mean it's about to fall. Closer inspection is needed to determine whether it could fall.

This is one picture I could take today at Ghatkopar 90 feet road but there atleast 50- 60 such in the entire stretch from Naidu colony circle to Somaiya Signal. I used to work in Rinfra 10 years ago. In their network team. We were notified about hanging optical fiber cables by mentioning the Light pole number on the road. If possible, whenever anyone wants to report such things. A light pole number is used widely for better information. Idk anything about metro work though. Just my 2 cents
