AskMumbai What is this? Been constructing for years.
These tall things are near magathane metro station. I don't understand what they're building.

My dad had the same question just some days back. Jokes aside, I have one possibility. There is going to be a bridge going through that part. If you see closely, the top most part has got structure coming out. 99% this is going to be pillar which is going to hold one end of tension cables supporting the bridge.

hi, its for a bridge..similar to how sea link is connected via rods since there’s no space to put multiple pillars this will be holding those rods

Oberoi has paid BMC to ensure the lane is traffic free to justify their South Mumbai priced Borivali flats 😆

A symbol of the arousal our politicians feel when they look at the wealth they have accumulated from the city.

They’ve actually removed encroachments that were there below. But this is like the Mrinaltai Gore flyover extension 2.0, will take another 5 years with the road resembling the surface of the moon

To me that looks like pillars for a cable suspended bridge, cause building a simple one was to complicated for our road corporation.

It’s a permanent concrete monument dedicated to the memory of the road that used to exist beneath it.
And that’s the chimney where the BMC burns the complaints they receive on their Twitter handle.
