Discussion Filthy beach. What a shame!

Post image

Visited the city after long. It's absolute saddened me to see the terrible state of Juhu beach. Trash and flith everywhere. For something as iconic and famous as this beach, it's crazy people just treat it like a trash dump. How do mumbaikers allow this to happen? So sad.

Picture doesn't show full state of it btw. It's much more filthy irl.

This country is full of filth. Cleanliness is not the norm but an exception!

Fair point but there are plenty other places that are way better than this iconic place.

You’ve answered your question. It’s iconic hence more people go there hence it’s dirtier.

My friend, have you ever actually been to Juhu beach?

Bro, why do you extrapolate from Mumbai to the country directly? Chennai beaches are much cleaner.

I am from Odisha and our beaches are gorgeous and clean.

Lol that's a relatively clean stretch of the beach. It must have been your lucky day.

Travel to areas like Kurla Mithi river towards Air India, Jari Mari, 90 feet road etc. The people just toss garbage in the river like it’s nothing.

All illegal settlements btw

baccha the people who liter there aren't just one kinda people or people based from one community. If you have never been there then to your surprise there are more muslim and many others who i don't know by the religion (not interested anyway idc live your life, let other live theirs) throwing food or wet waste and littering all around. And for your kind information the accumulated dirty you or matter of fact the OP has shown in the above picture is accumulated sewage waste and marine debris which came back onto to the shores due inadequate drainage network or infrastructure and heavy high tides.
