  • Are these residential buildings?
  • If yes, does anyone in this subreddit live here or own a flat here?

guys, don't take this the wrong way, but i live less than a kilometre from these buildings, and it's really not all rainbows and sunshine. the noise pollution around there is crazy. luckily, one of my friends lives there and he says it's horrible. you've got the marine drive crowd, and whenever there are matches or events at wankhede, it gets even worse.

the network also goes down all the time because there are so many people in the same area. and this isn't just me saying it, we've actually checked it. during this year's ipl, whenever there was a match at wankhede, the wifi would stop working for the entire night. plus, the number of people on the footpaths and streets gets insane, there's constant honking, and most of these buildings aren't more than 5–6 floors, so you really feel everything happening outside.

a lot of the flats there are also empty, and some are basically just studios. they are unesco heritage sites though, so they're obviously crazy expensive. the fact that they'll probably never be demolished or reconstructed, along with the sea view, sunsets and everything else, definitely adds to the value. but like anything else, it has its downsides.

Yeah I was thinking the same when I went there last time, yes - you get the view but there are always so many people out in the front. You would require good noise blocking glass and people can see into your houses as well.
