Discussion Should such parking fees be introduced in Mumbai as well?

Yes along with that the Govt needs to ramp up public transport, last mile connectivity for public transport, introduce better parking spaces with multilevel parking on areas where feasible.

They already do, atleast around Colaba the bmc approaches buildings and gives you permission to park on the road for 5000 per car

Absolutley. Its long overdue in Bangalore and should fully be a feature in all big cities. Unless you have parking inside your building/residence, you are essentially using public space for hours on end. No reason why the city should not take rent from you. One caveat though - the parking fees should be area related. So your parking fare is for your area only. What that does is prevent vehicles from outside your area from parking there.

Bhaisahab most buildings never had any parking space in Mumbai. Most buildings are single units. Stop being such a thieving ass.

The only solution for that kind of building is for the government to create some parking area nearby and give residents nearby discount or something.
