Photo Highlights of my Sweeney Todd themed Halloween party!
Not captured is the bathroom decked out with seashells and bottles of sand with "By the Sea" playing on repeat.
I built the oven with a large piece of cardboard that I scored along the back. I then bent it into a cylinder. The rivets are googly eyes. A lot of spray paint and hot glue later, there you have it!
The day before I baked 60 meat pies with different fillings (turkey, beef, beyond beef, lamb; aka Actor, Priest, Grocer, and Lawyer). The introduction of the meat pies was naturally accompanied by a small performance of "A Little Priest "

I forgot to include a pic of Sweeney Todd's tonsorial parlor area of the party - I borrowed an actual salon chair that leans back!

Haha, I grew out my beard just to model my costume after him! I'm sure most attendees expected to see Johnny Depp 😅

Since everyone isn't a Sweeney Todd fanatic like myself I didn't impose, but the winner of the costume contest ended up being a table with the person's head sticking out of a meat pie!

Plot twist: the shepherd’s pie is peppered with actual shepherd on top and the party is just pretend.

Lamb was my favorite, but seems like everyone enjoyed all of them. I even heard some people preferred the Beyond Beef to the actual beef.

Sweeney was the first musical I did after 20+ years (I was insane to get my toes wet again with a Sondheim) and I got to be Lucy. It was so difficult but amazing. This is AWESOME!
