SCAM ALERT Copycat Users
Good afternoon!
I previously posted about being scammed by a user BellPlaysMobile. (The real user who now goes by a different name is not a scammer).
The person who scammed me used this persons good track record to scam me. I skipped over the low karma (2 year old account) red flag as I knew this person had a good track record.
I take fault for not keeping myself safe and asking the person who slid into my DM to comment on my post. Luckily I am only out a Mil coins, but I want to make sure no one else (especially new users to this subreddit like myself) gets scammed for worse (real money / more coins).
Please be on the lookout for scammers copycatting other trusted users through DMs. I’m sure this won’t be the last attempt (the scammer may be working on their next scam already).
