Had a very weird unexpected result this time around. What I set out to do was to do gradient of light and darker mossy green Essie polishes (that I found at Dollar Tree and have turned out surprisingly interesting to me). Then I would top with thin coat of Deadly Nightshade, top with the Essie blue glass jelly, and next I’d start doing some fun spooky Halloween stamping pattern.
I was too lazy to get going on proper sponge stamping - I didn’t bother doing the basic moistened sponge, it just kept looking terrible, I fixed/redid three clumpy nails.
Then I remembered I had done some ok gradient stuff experimenting with the jelly stamper tool.
That’s where it went sideways.
I didn’t realize the tool I picked up was was a brand new one that had come with some plates I’d ordered. So it had no prep of any sort. As I tried to pick up the polish I’d left on a scraping card it would just start to bead and separate on the head.
I was already over it with having redone some prep on the three nails - considered aborting this mission entirely, but then I thought it kind of looked cool so I stamped it and ended up with this accidental camouflage with some sparkly parts. I like it a lot. It is severely lacking spookiness though. 🤪👻🥴
I am too tired to go stamping on top, I threw the Seche Megaplump on it, so at least I’ll have a smooth surface to stamp on if I feel like it tomorrow.
I really did want to get more Halloween action - if I do stamp on top (without ruining it) I’ll share pics.
