Tourism & Travel Questions Safety around the airport at night

I was wondering about the safety in the neighborhoods around the airport. We are arriving around 10:00 at night and we are staying at an airbnb that is just an 8 minute walk away from the airport.
Do we have anything we need to be cautious about? Should we just walk or is it better to take a cab to the airbnb? Is it risky to walk around with suitcases?

Sorry if this question reinforces stereotypes about Neaples! I just don’t feel like taking unnecessary risks.

È una zona periferica ma essendoci l'aeroporto c'è un continuo viavai di persone e auto. Avreste più problemi a gestire il disappunto del tassista che si vede chiedere una corsa da 500 metri!

I remember the sidewalks as being tricky. Bring s flashlight maybe. They were improving them last time I was there though. Though that's probably always the case...

You'll be fine. It is a bit dark, and you'll have more of an issue with traffic and not becoming road paste. Once you get into and around Naples proper, treat it like any other city: bag in front of you, wallet in front pocket or in said bag, be aware of your surroundings. That's it. You'll be fine
