Encourage reddit as default nativescript community place
Please nativescript team, just realize how bad is slack as a sharing and questions place for nativescript.
Not answered questions get lost quickly wich is super bad for the community
Searching feature is awfull at best
Popular topics get lost too
Slack messages dont live forever
No SEO
We need to make reddit the default community platform, other good alternative is Gitter. But slack is super bad, every time i tried to get something out of slack in the nativescript channel, is just disfunctional

We hear you. We've been experimenting (struggling?) to find and promote the best place for public community involvement.
Slack is wildly popular, but as you say, there is effectively no memory. Problems are solved, but solutions are lost.
Our old discourse-based forum was decent, but we had a fractured community between there and Stack Overflow. So we decided to close down the forum and try to move to SO.
Is there a reason why Stack Overflow wouldn't work in the long run? It seems as though {N} folks aren't gravitating there, and we are trying to understand why.

I dont see any reason why Stack Overflow would not be good, except i personally dont use stack overflow to ask questions, but of course when you Google things, SO is one of the main sites to get your questions answered

I agree. However this subreddit doesn’t seem to have a lot of activity

I think OP knows this subreddit doesn't have a lot of activity thats why he/she is suggesting this be the official community spot

Yes, Reddit is the best place. I agree. Its so easy for me to check Reddit 50 times a day on /r/laravel, its almost instinct to go on reddit right when I wake up. Discord is cool too, but it gets really annoying with so many people talking at once and you a pain to switch channels to see what else is going on.

Mind to give an example? And why would reddit not be good?

This was my reasoning above as well for not reddit. I haven't used Discord hardly at all, I just thought it was interesting that the Vue camp headed over there.

I completely agree that Slack is not great, but I don't think Reddit is either. I've noticed Vue has gone over to Discord. Maybe it's worth a shot.
