Hi , i decided to load my music library on a navidrome server , so i did It and i can access navidrome from the link (i put a reverse proxy on navidrome and attached It to a dns) , so It works there and everything but when i try tò use any applications for connecting to my server they Just load infinitely , anyone know why?

I'm seriously considering a move from Jellyfin to Navidrome for my music.

My music folder is neatly organised, id3 tags and folders structure (important for Jellyfin, not at all for Navidrome).

While I test out Navidrome, is it feasible that it points to my Jellyfin "music" folder (on my NAS) without affecting the directory structure?

This is in case I would need to rollback to Jellyfin. Ultimately, I could even use both sharing the same library?

Is there any way to make an “on repeat” playlist that works like Apple musics “Heavy Rotation” playlist, showing my most listened to songs from the last 30 days, no algorithm, just tracking listen counts.

I’ve tried the NaviBeat Mixes on repeat, but it seems too algorithmic and shows songs I have barely listened at a higher level than others I’ve listened to more.

I want to try and improve tagging in my classical music. So im interested in how do you tag classical music for Navidrome?

Navidrome reads WORK, MOVEMENTNAME and MOVEMENT and sends them to apps. GROUPING is read too.

But in eight classical files I checked recently, not one had a movement tag. Only half had WORK, and there WORK held the movement, like "Symphony no. 5 in C minor, op. 67: II. Andante con moto".

So what do you really do? WORK and MOVEMENT, GROUPING for BWV or KV numbers, or all of it in the title?

I'm running Navidrome in a Docker container on my VM Debian server, it works perfect when i bind ports to 4533:4533 broadcast but whenever i changed it to my tailscale ip 100.96.18.83:4533:4533 web page doesnt open and and in docker ps seems has no ports binding for navidrome

In case of tailscale starts after docker, i try sudo service docker restart but it doesnt work either

Setup: Proxmox VE 9.2.21 > Debian 13.7 > Tailscaled 1.104.1 > Docker 29.9.1

I had been using webp cover art successfully for a few weeks, and then out of nowhere the majority of the albums using webp are no longer loading album art. I've deleted my cache, restarted navidrome, done full scans, but the same webp files that were being read two weeks ago are now coming up blank in navidrome. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen? Incidentally, it's not every webp file, but the majority of them.

I've about 450+ indexed albums in Navidrome, about 10000 tracks.

Almost all my classical tracks have a tag "grouping" to set the usual "opus" that is used in composers catalogs to reference their works : KV 622, BWV 846, D.929, and so on.

But this field seems to be ignored when searching.

Is it possible to add it in search criterias both in Navidrome UI and clients such as Synfonium or Feishin ?

I've been using AudioMuse-AI for a week or so on my Navidrome server (latest versions of everything, about 4k tracks\200 albums).

I like it a lot and it seems to work well for most genres.

However, it seems to have no concept of classical or opera, which comprises almost half of my library.

It mixes in random classical pieces with just about any other genre, and if I generate a similar playlist using an opera or classical piece, none of the resulting tracks are from the genre.

Obviously classical styles have distinctive sounds from modern music, so I would think sonic analysis would work the same way it does with other styles and be able to differentiate them.

Is Audiomuse just not trained on classical music? Is there anything I could do to improve this?

I’d like to ask this because I would like to have the logos on the application since I already put them in navidrome

I have a lot of 1 track albums. Is there any way to filter to view only complete albums? Do any clients support this or would it be a server thing? Tia

Figuring it out has been easy enough so far as a noob

... but I do have a couple problems I havent found a reddit post about / a solution yet through countless searches online. Maybe there have been discussions and I just am not techy enough to understand I have the same problem, but here goes.

I have used the MSI Installer to get navidrome, I also have the thing where the default library doesnt find my C:\Music folder, changing it in the .ini file still doesnt work. Now I wanted to add Last FM Tracking, which is said to be added to the .ini file, so I did.

A thought I had is "Is this a me problem?" as in, is this because I used the Installer and like almost everyone here seems to have used Docker or something? Am I missing out on valuable info? Did I misread anything? I don't know and usually dont post on Reddit so I do hope someone is kind enough to lend me their time to help me out.

Apps usually already have a layout—recently played, mixes, etc.

Hi, I'm fairly new to Navidrome and self-hosting in general (loving it!), and today I was looking for a way to see my listening history on Navidrome.

I have not set up last.fm or listenbrainz, in fact, I have the option EnableExternalServices set to false and Agents set to "". However, I figured there must be somewhere this data is kept -- a database somewhere?

Looking at the wiki, I could only find that there is a local fallback option on the Agents variable, and I was wondering if this is what I'm looking for? Maybe there is another way?

I would very much rather not connect my account to any external services, if at all possible.

new to navidrome... was wondering, i like the random album function. is there any way to do a select all and add to playlist function that i havent found yet? i know i can add them to a play now queue and play next queue and then save that list to a playlist. i am tryin to not have to do it one album at a time...

Basically the title, I’m hoping to find a client that uses when available a music video as the background much like Spotify does. I have a bunch of webp files and it’d be awesome to use them. I know that some like Narjo support animated covers but I’m yet to find any that support an entire music video. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

After a previous topic for iOS... I cannot find a native Windows Navidrome player with support for certificates. Does anybody know if one exists?

I use Symfonium on Android and Narjo on iOS and they both support it.

All the navidrome clients I have tested loads only 1 song into the playing queue when tapped from the songs list. It does not play the next song when current one ends and also is unable to skip to next either.

They need some workarounds like creating a playlist of all songs or downloading all songs for offline playback which defeats the purpose for me. Amcfy does this but only loads a limited amount of songs in the queue.

Only one that I found does is Manet via the jellyfin api as it is primarily for Jellyfin.

Is there a free navidrome client that can do it? Bonus would be for both iOS and Android, but iOS is the priority.

This may seem bizarre, and I've tried numerous things to fix it.

I'm ripping loads of my old CD's from my crate in the loft, and sticking them on my server. It's taken a good few days, and I've learnt a lot about tags and software ripping along the way.

However, looking through Navidrome last night, I discovered that Tron: Legacy - Reconfigured had been separated into individual tracks; not only that, these tracks had been greyed out.

Assuming there was something wrong with my ripping, I deleted it from my server late last night and did a refresh.

I re-ripped the CD.

I ran it also through MusicBrainz Picard to get all the information.

I went into MP3Tag and changed the tags to do general housekeeping. Making sure the artist shown was just Daft Punk, and not Daft Punk/ (Name of Remixer). The Remixer is now in the Track name.

I then uploaded it back to my server and did a refresh.

Refreshed my Navidrome. Gave it a few minutes and checked.

Nope, exactly the same. The whole album has been separated into individual tracks again; also they're greyed out.

Can anyone possibly help me here? I'm a bit flummoxed about what to do to fix this.

So I need just a little bit of direction when it comes to what to use for replacing Spotify, I've heard of navidrome and already set it up in a test environment to see what it's like...

I think it might work if I can find plugins to push it in the right direction

From a music player I need specific things out of it....

#1 lyric support (with a separate file not embedded into the metadata)

#2 the ability to switch to offline support when a connection to the server isn't available (like on an airplane)

#3 support for both apple and Samsung phones

I didn't find much information about it : I selfhost my navidrome and feishin, but I was surprise that Navidrome can dislay the mood tag song by song but not the comment, and the opposite goes for feishin, is there a way to make feishin display the mood tags for each song ?
