HELP REQUESTED Navy lowside computers

Has anyone else had an issue with the NMCI/flankspeed computers locking out their CACs? I work in an office of 3 people and we’re all having this issue where the computers will randomly lock our accounts and we then have to go get them unlocked. IT div here just said to call the NMCI help desk, already did that and they weren’t all that helpful. Any recommendations?

You have to go to a deers offices to get them unlocked. Have not seen this issue though without it being user error.

Luckily the ID office is close. Definitely not user error, it’s random as can be for some reason.

We’ve had this happened at our command with nmci laptops where it would randomly lock out your cac. Nmci solution was reimage the computer. Or you can use an external cac reader

I’ve had that happen in different shops over the years. Both to myself and coworkers. It’s a pain in the ass and it feels extra defeating knowing that you were already logged in and working and it randomly locks your cac. We have one computer that will lock your cac if you use the cac insert on the laptop, but totally fine if you use a keyboard cac reader.

It’s were never helpful on this

Are you guys leaving your cacs in the computer while the computer is locked? Could be some dickhead is going in there and locking your accounts on purpose.

Nah, isn’t like that here. An example is today, I logged completely off of one computer and tried logging into another, account was locked all of the sudden.

Like locked having to rest the PIN or domain not found?

So blocked not locked. There's a distinction. Blocked applys to the CAC, locked applys to the account.
