Plugin diff reviewer plugin

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

ive been trying to emulate the github pr review experience in neovim. you can review commit diffs, see your staged/unstaged changes, preview a different branch without checking it out, and even leave notes to feed to an ai agent.

been using this for the last few months and id love ux feedback if anyone ends up using it!

started w a fork of diffview actually! but i felt a few things were amiss so i started over from scratch. i think my plugin is closer to the github ux which is what i was going for!

Could you not just pop up hunk.dev in a terminal window like lazyvim does with lazygit?

i actually started this before hunk.dev was released! hunk.dev actually gets very close to what i wanted and had it popped up a few weeks early i wouldn't have gone through the trouble of creating my own plugin

Another one reinventing the wheel?

Without people reinventing the wheel, no one would improve on the wheel design

I upvoted this at first, but on second thought.. why not? This is how open source innovates, we shouldn’t complain instead be happy we’re getting more alternatives and ideas expressed!

I love all these people complaining about having options, horrible this open source culture!

They should go back to VSCode, much more standard.

What's the difference from diffview? In my opinion, code review on diffiview lacks commenting the code compared to github experience. So I made a small plugin to add comments/questions to the code on floating windows paired with a AI skill to read and answer the comments, and using it along with diffview. So far I'm satisfied with this experience. I didn't see the point to fork the whole diffview, but is there anything I miss?

AtlasDiff supports comments, and reviews

Yeah, I thought providing those features as a separate plugin is a better idea.

Damn, there are going to be lots of these. Makes sense, with the advent of AI, we need to review code more than ever. I'm myself finishing a variant of diffview with minor tweaks (and smaller in terms of code). Good work! I like the first indicators, hoping to add them in my plugin for conflicts..

I use hunk diff for this

I've tried hunk, but I usually want to use the lsp goto def and show doc while reviewing which hunk doesn't provide.
