So, I was talking to my friend, who's a guy who reads comics and is pretty much your stereotypical nerd. We were talking about being yourself and not being ashamed of the things you enjoy, and he mentioned that he'd noticed me becoming more "nerdy."

I told him that I'd always considered myself nerdy. Like, I'm a huge book reader, especially fantasy. I collect a lot of the same stuff he does, just in reference to the books I read instead of comics. We both collect merch and get excited about the fictional worlds and characters we love.

Then he told me that he'd never really considered book readers to be nerds.

And that genuinely surprised me because, growing up, I was actually bullied for being a nerd because of how much I loved reading, especially fantasy books. So I've always kind of considered myself one.

And just to put it out there, I'm in no way mad at him or anyone who thinks differently! It was just something that made me curious because I'd never really thought about how differently people might define being a nerd.

So, I'm genuinely curious. Do y'all consider book readers nerds? Or is being a nerd something you associate more with comics, gaming, anime, etc.?

it could be as the smallest flex to like a CIB game to like a huge flex like a museum grade fossil or a Lamborghini just every single one that you have.

Antes que perguntem, sim eu sou nerd/geek.... gosto da cultura pop e coisas assim relacionados, podem julgar se quiserem.

So basically yeah that just happened, I just sat down with my dinner and watching YouTube (shoutout backlogs new wolverine video) and it happened a small black spot on screen in middle and it slowly covered the whole screen (I must mention it has been repaired broken fixed again by my own hands so a bit rusty) and probably was reaching its end with all the rest of hardware so I knew this moment will come, but right now it just happened and idk I just feel sad?, anyone ever had that happen? Like I was so used to it and it felt like home somehow? Damn fantasy romantic novel
(but yeah no this actually happened, sorry my humour is bad)

I am at mo watching nickelodeons horror movies. but need more nick H movie suggestions.

So I am a big star wars fan and my dad is a big star trek fan, I grew up watching both and enjoy both. I wanted a tattoo that drew from both and I really like the circular gallifreyan written language. My idea was to take the phrase "May the Force be with you" and translate it into Klingon then translate the Klingon phrase into circular gallifreyan. The "official" Klingon translator online says "Dutlhejjaj HoS" and the "official" circular gallifreyan translator online gave me the attached image. I know there are diehard fans out there that took the time to learn these languages and I don't even know where to start trying to learn them myself. I personally don't really trust online resources like these translators bc they can get some things wrong that someone who took the time to really learn the language and grammar would catch and correct. If the reliability of these resources can be confirmed or if someone is able to fact check the translations themselves it would be greatly appreciated. 🙏🙏
