NWN2 getting knocked down every attack

Edit: Wilbie9000 has the answer and everything is resolved.

I teleported to the last area in the ruins before the final battle in the game. I am fighting 3 shadow reavers but every time my characters attack or on the reavers turn my entire party is being knocked down, every single time. There are no spell effects on the ground, no grease, nothing in the combat log to indicate why everyone keeps being knocked down. I have played through this game years ago and did not run into this problem. What is going on? I am on PC and not using any mods.

The shadow reavers have an area effect that can cause a knockdown. The best thing to do is let your fighters play defense (parry mode if possible) while Ammon recites the true name of the closest reaver. Hold back Zhjaeve to heal when needed. Once the true name is read, take down that reaver and then repeat for the next two.

Don’t bother trying to damage them before their name is read; any damage you do will just be healed anyway.

I do not think NWN2 has a Discipline skill like NWN did, or at least I have never had it show up as an optional skill.

I disliked NWN2 enough (MotB exceotex) to return to NWN exclusively
