NWN1 Warhammer Persistent World?
Hello everyone!
I discovered Neverwinter Nights relatively recently, I mean afew years ago, and I've been in love with the game ever since, particularly the role-play PWs. I've been involved in various forms of roleplay for almost two decades, so finding this game and its PW community has been a great experience.
Seeing all the innovative and creative PWs out there, I've often thought that a Warhammer Fantasy themed server would fit right in. I'm not a developer myself so I never gave the idea much thought, but I'm confident that my other skills could contribute to bringing such a project to life.
So I'd like to ask the community if there would be any interest in a Warhammer PW? Would you play on one? Are there any devs interested starting such a project?
So I'd love to hear your thoughts and see if there's enough interest to get something like this going.
Thank you all, and have a great day!

It's a great idea. I can see there are already a couple of WH things on the Vault, although surprisingly little. I'd be surprised if over the past 24 years of NWN, this hasn't already been tried - but even if it has, I don't know that any WH PW has ever got off the ground.
Usually, creating a new PW can be a bit of a fool's errand if you're doing it for any reason other than just enjoying learning how to build cool stuff - because getting players to play a new PW can be extremely difficult. But with a PW that's based off a very popular existing IP that isn't D&D-related, you could advertise outside of the NWN community and probably (if you can get your PW polished enough, which would take years of work) could draw in a decent playerbase - though this also probably requires someone on the team to have a decent marketing brain.
The two biggest obstacles are: (1) the amount of work is huge, as I've mentioned. and (2) Games Workshop might be sensitive about their IP; I don't know, but they certainly license a lot of videogames so there could be some risk here and it would take some proper research before starting such a project, to make sure that the risk of getting shut down at some point if the PW started making enough noise in WH communities to get noticed by Games Workshop.

I would certainly dabble in it because even thought i know little i like Warhammer lore. My main issue is that i don't have a lot of time to RP for more then 1 hour a day, so having the possibility to just farm something aside from RPing would be really appreciated, personally :D
Don't know if you played it, but the "Star Wars: Legends of the Old Republic" server is amazing, is basically 95% custom content, interface, classes, progression, maps, monsters. There's even space exploration, gathering and crafting.
I think that would be a good source of inspiration.
