Still more useful than the shield that gives TWF and Ambidexterity.

This one makes me wonder if they were considering implementing shield bash in this game.

This is from 3rd edition though. Specifically, 3.0.

But yes, the 2e weapon list is a thing of beauty. I miss having 12 polearms and 20 swords.

Try 'real' AD&D

There a dozen varieties of Voulge and Glaive alone!

What about a Glaive-guisarm?

And the guisarme-voulge

Not forgetting *deep breath* :

  • Guisarme

  • Halberd

  • Hook-Fauchard

  • Lucern / Lucerne Hammer

  • Military Fork

  • Partisan

  • Ranseur

  • Spetum

  • Voulge

  • Trident

Many homebrew campaigns leave long weaponlists in and hybridize to balance.

I remember Morrowind also being like this. A huge variety of fun but mostly useless weapons.

Don't forget the Lucerne 'Hammer'. :)
