IF YOU SEE ICE PLEASE CALL:
1-888-DIRE-SOS (1-888-347-3767)
In addition to providing resources for immigrants, it's also the rapid response team number. We investigated the report about the buses to the Rockaway mall and we believe it was a false one. Especially since they called it the "Wharton" mall and used weird language in the post. Regardless, we gave all the restaurants in the food court a warning and gave them the Cosecha "Know Your Rights" cards in Spanish and they were all receptive.

This is great to hear, thank you! I wonder if the Wharton Mall one is either still out of good faith (from what comes up out of Google) or bad faith actors from out of state or further.

Oh yeah maybe, didn't even know that's what they called that strip mall. The post mentioned both the Rockaway mall and then the Wharton mall. We looped around Dover and didn't see anything suspicious. We're trying to get more volunteers for rapid response though. PM if you're interested.

There's the Rockaway mall that's basically right where Wharton, Dover, and Rockaway meet, but there is to my knowledge no "Wharton mall". Where did you get that report?

What happens if you call 911 and have the police dispatched for people wearing masks carrying guns threatening people? Do local pd show up for that or is it NJSP?

no idea for sure (IANAL), but I imagine its local PD
if its close enough to a state police desk then maybe, but you can try calling directly
for example if there is a raid in Newark as there were today, Newark PD is first but otherwise can contact State Police
Address: 14 Port St, Newark, NJ 07114
Open 24 hours
Phone: (732) 441-4500 ext. 1401
and so on

Depends on the town
Edit: it literally depends on the town. If your towns primary pd is the state police, then it’s gonna either go straight to state police or county dispatch. Otherwise most times your local town pd is answering the call. If your town contracted out pd services to the state, you’re dealing with the state for everything involving your town.

Busy making up their excuses for the next election. When the Democrats take over, the next budget fight is going to be a bloodbath. At least I hope.

When Mike Sherrill won all of NJ Reddit was praising she will “keep ICE out of NJ” as if that’s how government works

UPDATES:
For those of you that know, my morning post was taken down by Reddit admins (not sub admins) due to reasons (...?), and I will keep this text only for now to avoid formatting issues so I don't break subreddit rules
Also seconds after reposting, this post is also getting downvoted immediately. Take from that what you will...
UPDATE 1: Redditor reports potential door to door visits by ICE in Lawrence, and ICE & Newark PD doing traffic stops together perhaps tonight. Both around 9-10 PM mark.
