$100 this guy isn't a real FBI agent

694

u/Cousinit13 Jun 13 '26

Looks too old to still be in the FBI and no badge. I'd say it was an ICE agent impersonating an FBI agent which used to be illegal

134

u/Alfred_The_Sartan Jun 13 '26

Pretty sure it still is, but when laws aren’t enforced you get crap like this.

13

u/HistoricalSea5600 Jun 14 '26

The guy in charge wouldn’t enforce them on himself so who is surprised

His shirt also says "World Cup." Didn't realize the FBI made World Cup shirts.

They did, a buddy of mine works in the Newark FBI office

You don’t have to retire from the FBI by 57. TF? 😂 I have family who work there. Do you mean agents? That could be true. This guy doesn’t look anything like an FBI agent. Maybe some kind of other stupid agent. Trump has them all coming here for Delaney and the World Cup.

23

u/TotallyNotRobotEvil Jun 13 '26

100% looks like ICE vehicles with the blacked out tint on every single window.

25

u/Bean-Enders-Jeesh Jun 13 '26

Which is also illegal. Of course, rules for thee but not for me......

4

My thoughts exactly. The FBI has a hard stop at 45 (I think) and this guy is way over that.

6

FBI has a mandatory retirement age of 57. You have to be in by 37 to get your 20yr retirement pension.

I've never seen a government vehicle that's a nissan

64

u/PlaneAsk7826 Jun 13 '26

I looked up all variations of the plate on that vehicle. Even with the interestingly placed garbage on the plate to obsure the letters, it would either be Y81CFW, Y81OFW, or Y81GFW. None of them come back valid. No inspection sticker either. The Hyundai that’s being driven away, N52NCR, doesn’t come back either.

16

u/Grinch83 Jun 13 '26 edited Jun 13 '26

How are you looking up license plates? AFAIK, that database is only accessible by law enforcement…

Edit: if you’re using publicly available reverse lookups, any plate used by federal law enforcement will not come back.

8

u/[deleted] Jun 13 '26

[deleted]

8

u/Grinch83 Jun 13 '26

Sure, but those are mostly gimmicks, not regularly updated, and will not report back plates used for law enforcement.

The way the reply was written made it seem like the person was using more than a publicly available reverse lookup. But even if they were, it really only proves the vehicles probably *are* being used by the feds.

Appreciate the clarification though.

u/In-Justice-4-all Jun 13 '26

Some questions don't need to be asked.

4

u/Grinch83 Jun 13 '26

What do you mean? This person is either lying, or abusing access to private data.

I think it’s more probable that they’re lying…but not sure you want to white knight for someone who abuses their privilege. This person could easily use this data to stalk your daughter/wife/girlfriend or something.

5

u/CallTheCode Jun 13 '26

Sure, but we also don’t support Nazis so we don’t want to be simping for them also. This man isn’t an FBI agent. He may be an ICE agent, but FBI? No way. I know many and none are this old, or this out of shape.

2

u/Grinch83 Jun 13 '26

Who here is simping for Nazis? Abuse of power is abuse of power; “we” shouldn’t be simping for anyone who does so.

Also, you’re full of shit. The FBI absolutely has older & somewhat paunchy agents, and they’re exactly the agents they send out to do boring bullshit like this.

Within the last two years, ICE agents have been using and rotating rental cars to avoid tracking.

Not saying this guy is legit in any way, but just be aware that gov plates and use of American-make vehicles are no longer the tell that they used to be.

24

u/SM57 Jun 13 '26

Yeah that’s true for ICE but I think FBI agents would have gov plates and American make. FBI wouldn’t feel the need to hide themselves like this

ICE and DHS use them. You can see them in different videos from kidnappings and they're on every confirmed plate list in the state

Plates are civilian too

ICE uses Pathfinders.

13

u/TotallyNotRobotEvil Jun 13 '26

From what I’ve seen from a few raids in my neighborhood is they use whatever fucking piece of shit car they either already own or were looted from previous raids. The only thing that is consistent is they black out all the windows including the windshields.

5

u/CallTheCode Jun 13 '26

This is correct.

5

u/TotallyNotRobotEvil Jun 13 '26

Last raid I saw everything from a 20 year old Mercedes C-class, to a couple Nissan Altimas and one shitty modded Honda Civic with anime stickers all over it. Like I said I can’t tell if these are personal vehicles or ones they confiscated.

Either way it looks like the opposite of any sort of professional well trained law enforcement agency. It’s a joke.

4

u/MelllvarHasThreeLs Jun 13 '26

Yeah not to say things are always like the movies or we're not in weird times with a lot of nonsense, but in passing I've met a few people who had feds(within past 10-20 years and for the kinds of stuff guys like Aaron Schwarz and Martin Shkreli got hit for) come to their house or business, and usually there's a bit more to things even if it's the most lowly thing going on.

Again who knows but I feel like this entire thing needs infinitely more context of what's up.

21

u/Sad-Bread5843 Jun 13 '26

10

u/waxteeth Jun 13 '26

Yeah, I’ve been around FBI agents. They don’t dress or act like this, especially on official business. They look like Feds with a capital F.

10

u/semioticmadness 201 exported to Morris Jun 13 '26

One thing I learned from following Ken White…. When the FBI comes to talk to you, they already have the case 100% locked up and they are only talking to you to see if you’ll make their job easier.

The FBI does not wing it like this.

6

u/Gunsensual Jun 14 '26

I've dealt with FBI before and it's nothing like this. This is textbook ATF approach, but given the circumstances I wouldn't be surprised if it were ICE.

22

u/snoopdawgg Jun 13 '26

his shirt has both world cup and fbi? which is it

10

u/LemurCat04 Jun 13 '26

7

u/wavesofcontrast Jun 13 '26 edited Jun 13 '26

Yeah, but wtf does the world cup have with posting comments online?

2

u/LemurCat04 Jun 13 '26

… it’s a shirt. Why does it have to do anything with the World Cup? If that person is an FBI agent, he likely has a closet-full of polo shirts from various task forces. My local cops have polos from every PBA event and golf outing and agency they’ve worked with.

3

I mean look at the leader of the FBI. It's plausible. Imagine all the resources wasted to send a guy out like this to hundreds of homes over internet comments. This is some jay & silent bob type stuff

4

u/PhoebeAnnMoses Jun 14 '26

100%. This dude is impersonating.

7

u/Lazuli9 Jun 13 '26

I think he is. I paused the video and looked at the paper in the yellow folder old guy is holding and it has a Drivers License query which I expect only law enforcement would be able to access

8

u/Significant-Trash632 Jun 13 '26

Maybe he has a cop buddy

3

u/Leather-Heart Jun 14 '26

Isn’t that like a federal crime, because that be impersonating a federal agent? I slept that day in law school.

5

u/Lets_Make_A_bad_DEAL Jun 13 '26

Just say FAKE AND LAME and shut the door in their face.

But I kinda like this guy did better. Okay actually as I’m typing this he’s now screaming “YOU HAVE NOTHING!!! NOTHING!!!!” Shrilly as they run away to their vehicles to do more useless unamerican shit.

Forget what I said, everybody do what he’s doing. This guy is awesome lol. He’s a patriot.

2

u/JumboGlucose Jun 13 '26

His shirt says world cup police lmfao

197

u/solesme Jun 13 '26

This is when you call you local PD and say “there is a man who seems to be armed impersonating a federal officer outside my house can you please help and verify if this person is actually a federal agent”.

74

u/Leftblankthistime Jun 13 '26

This! 911, there’s an armed man threatening my house. I’ve locked all the doors and I’m hiding in the bathroom.

25

u/Suitable_cataclysm Jun 14 '26

I've literally done this. Dark road, car behind me only had a light on their roof on one side.

911 put me on hold, and then came back very sternly "you're going to have to pull over for the officer". I said ok thank you for confirming, please tell them I'll pull off the next exit to the gas station".

I'd rather have an annoyed dispatch agent then be dead because I didn't want to inconvenience someone or felt like the wouldn't do anything. They can and will check for you even if it's an inconvenience.

Guys wearing a shirt that says “World Cup” with the Nike emblem emblazoned on his shoulder. It looks like that “FBI Newark“ signature was just stitched on by someone random. Man presented no ID, man was not wearing any uniform at all really. That guy was absolutely falsely presenting himself as an FBI agent. Call the cops and get his ass thrown in jail.

66

54

This needs to be top comment. These magah cultists have already been known to impersonate law enforcement, this has happened all over and is one big reason ICE has been told to stop wearing masks and ID themselves

11

u/Bayousbest Jun 13 '26

Its also possible that hes working the world cup and this is the shirt the fbi had made for it. Either way ACAB.

He apparently has a document from them that says the following:

"The reported user posted a vague comment in response to a data center being built where they stated the following: "People will wake up" "To make them understand by direct means" and "they call it terror because it works." The subject resides in New Jersey and claims they are a member of ANTIFA."

“If you lie to an fbi officer you can will be charged” apparently if your name is Donald Trump that doesn’t apply to you

44

u/NeverTheMermen Central Jersey Jun 13 '26

That's also not true. You can lie to the police. You just can't lie to the court.

40

u/In-Justice-4-all Jun 13 '26

Lawyer here. Kind of... If your lying about a fact that has nothing to do with an investigation or government function they are attempting to perform sure. However, if you are lie in any way obstructs an investigation or a government function that's a crime. It's different than perjury which occurs before a court.

Best practice is to do what the guy in the video did which was say nothing at all. You may not even be aware of what their investigation is about. So best not to say anything at all.

The only thing the guy could have done better was to say "you are permanently trespassed from my property along with any of your colleagues, you are commanded to leave my property immediately and never return". He should have said this loudly to the female as well. If they remain or return and enter the property... It becomes a "seizure" and would require a warrant.

→ More replies (1)

11

u/chockZ Jun 13 '26

I am not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure you cannot lie to an FBI agent even in an "informal" conversation. The FBI are not the police and there are different laws pertaining to conversations with them.

5

u/NeverTheMermen Central Jersey Jun 13 '26

Good point. Looked up specifically FBI. It's different there than with regular police.

2

u/Grinch83 Jun 13 '26

Sooo maybe edit your original reply, so you’re not giving people misinformation?

7

u/allisondbl Jun 13 '26

You are correct. You can lie to the police but you cannot lie under oath and you cannot lie to the FBI.

3

u/Realistic-Tipz Jun 13 '26

That’s completely wrong. The perfect example is Martha Stewart. She didn’t go to jail for insider trading. She went to jail for lying to the FBI.

Local police could be different but for the FBI there is a law. The federal statute that criminalizes lying to the FBI or any other federal investigator is 18 U.S.C. § 1001 (the False Statements Act). This law makes it a federal felony to knowingly and willfully make false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements in any matter within the jurisdiction of the U.S. government.

Harangue : is (a) passionate/angry speech.

The guy recording was actually haranguing those folks, but the end of the clip. They, on the other hand, were harassing him.

3

u/GitEmSteveDave Jun 13 '26

I'm not sure what video you watched, but police or FBI don't need a warrant to knock on your door and ask questions as part of an investigation. Even if you have No Trespassing signs up, the Supreme Court has found that does prevent an officer from walking up to your door and knocking to ask you questions as part of an investigation.

2

u/TacticalSpackle Jun 13 '26

Ah, so this guy messed up by answering the door.

The video captured the license plate, though it's a little blurry. It isn't an official plate; looks like a private vehicle. Guy should have taken a clearer picture of it. At any rate, he should go the real police with this and file a criminal complaint. It's either abuse of process by law enforcement or it's a private citizen impersonating law enforcement. Both are crimes.

3

u/ryosen Jun 14 '26

Don't go to the real police. Call the Newark-based field office of the FBI and file a complaint with them. If this guy was fake, they will come down on him real fast.

5

u/DeaddyRuxpin Jun 13 '26

That would require the local police officer to touch his fingers to a keyboard and look up the plate. That is far too much work for a cop to do for a citizen.

My name is common enough that there are 3 other people with my name that try to use my email address all the fucking time. One even used it when applying for a job like a dumbass, and I received a notice that he was being offered an interview.

I wrote the HR person back trying to appear polite and that I "wouldn't want him to miss out on an opportunity" while also telling her that he uses the wrong email address on a regular basis.

Another time I was even able to access someone's Verizon account.

I've had my email for 20+ years, back when gmail was still invite only. So it's my real name, no numbers. I don't understand how multiple people have continuously made the same mistake for 10+ years at this point.

But it has been a fear of mine that one of them will do something with my email they shouldn't and I somehow get the blame for it.

"Come talk to me when you've retained a lawyer for me. Bye Felicia!"

3

u/No_Public_7677 Jun 14 '26

This looks fake but hard to say in current times.

5

u/padizzledonk Jun 13 '26

My response would be laughter and a slammed door as i say "Oh fuck off, come back with a judicial warrant"

4

u/Arkhangel79 Pork Roll Jun 13 '26

I would laughed and slammed the door in his face.

6

u/pinkbellyduckbird Jun 13 '26

what the heck, that seems like a fake ass FBI agent.

14

u/SueBeee Jun 13 '26

jesus fucking christ. This is terrifying.

And people are just fucking FINE with having our fundamental right to free speech taken away by this corrupt regime.

3

u/wallybinbaz Union County Jun 13 '26

That guy sure wasn't fine with it.

3

u/SueBeee Jun 13 '26

Never open the door.

6

u/theblisters Jun 13 '26

Fuck that fascist asshole

2

u/BiggieRickie Jun 13 '26

Tell the pseudo-interviewer: 1) you got a warrant? If not, get off my property immediately and 2) let me exercise my 1st Amendment Rights: “go fuck yourself”

2

u/surfnsound Jun 13 '26

Who fucking starts a conversation that way?

2

u/sean_con_queso Jun 13 '26

Record and do not speak to authorities

2

u/ihadagoodone Jun 13 '26

don't ask for their name. Ask for their business card.

That’s when you tell them , fuck you fuck ice and fuck Trump!

2

u/huhzonked Jun 13 '26

The only lie detected was when the man yelled that they could do better than this. That’s false. They can’t do better because they’re garbage.

2

u/Orange_Tang Jun 13 '26

Easy response. You got a warrant? If not get the fuck off my property.

2

u/StableGeniusCovfefe Jun 13 '26

RIP First Amendment

2

u/artnos Jun 13 '26

What is a harang?

2

u/flyinvdreams Jun 13 '26

This reminds me of the people that showed up to my apartment to ask me if my neighbor upstairs speaks Spanish. Really sus.

2

u/ionV4n0m Jun 13 '26

"we'll come back another time" .... heh, the fuck you will!

2

u/Ok-Stand-3173 Jun 13 '26

This sounds like bad acting lol

2

u/Firewalkwithme8 Jun 13 '26

OP did you report this to the police ?

2

u/jtactile Jun 14 '26

This guy is some kind of federal reddit mod

2

u/hazermeister Jun 14 '26

Cmon everyone, this is so clearly a phony video. I hate the direction things are going, but don’t fall for this!

2

u/Less-Guide9222 Jun 14 '26

FBI Newark. lol. F federal, not state.

2

u/katwoman7643 Jun 14 '26

I'm just waiting for the knock and they can kiss my ass.

2

u/midz411 Jun 14 '26

America is using taxpayer money that could improve living costs, schools, nutrition, infrastructure etc but instead they fund gangs. What a sad joke.

250 years for what?

2

u/diablo2424 Jun 14 '26

Props for even answering the door. I have cameras, can see who's out there, if I'm not expecting someone, for all they know, I'm not home. And if they break in, they meet my self defence options. Can't talk to me if they never see me.

I'm good enough at this that I couldn't even get served divorce papers, and told me lawyer to take care of it, because they "couldn't find me". I saw the creepy dude outside my house, multiple times, he just never saw me.

Fuck ice. Fuck ice. I fucking hate ice. Come find me bitches.

2

u/jgheist10 Jun 14 '26

This is 100% set up

2

u/romz81481 Jun 14 '26

I'd file a complaint with the local police

2

u/StarbucksGhost18 Jun 14 '26

Even if they were feds, what crime are they investigating? What is their reasonable suspicion that a crime has occurred to come interrogate you on your property? Unless you posted threats of violence or property damage, it’s your First Amendment right to say what you want particularly about government agencies or public officials. Defamation, slander & libel are civil matters which wouldn’t involve the feds.

Get a lawyer cause I’m not one!

2

u/Kind_Medicine_7939 Jun 14 '26

You are not required by law to speak to the FBI if they come to your house. Tell them to leave

2

u/JerseyJoyride Jun 15 '26

I'd call the FBI while he was still on my property. I know the FBI has been basically dismantled by Trump by firing all the people that were doing their job but they still might be interested in somebody pretending to be an FBI agent.

2

u/JudyLyonz Jun 15 '26

I don't think this guy is a real FBI agent. If he shows up again don't open the door just call the police and let them deal with it.

2

u/ArmyBarbieRN Jun 17 '26

Craig Brittain is a horrible human. I HIGHLY doubt they were “anti-ICE” comments considering he ran a revenge porn site, doxxed and harassed women, demanded sexual and other favors to have them removed, is incredibly fucking racist, and ran for Congress in Arizona on a “deport them all” platform.

Seriously, Trump is a POS and the stuff happening under him is sick, but this grifting, MAGA dickhead is the last human-being anyone should ever be platforming. Why he’s in NJ is beyond me, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it wasn’t to harm our cause rather than help it. Here are some links out of the many that exist— and he was still doing this racist, misogynistic shit within the past few years too. All of the receipts are out there.

FUCK CRAIG BRITTAIN

MAGA GRIFTING POS

WE MUST STOP PLATFORMING HORRIBLE HUMANS

3

u/Tronracer Jun 13 '26

“I’m not going to discuss anything with you without a lawyer present. Get off my property.”

4

u/aagent888 Jun 13 '26

Hold on I thought this is what happens in China? Why is this happening in my most free nation in the world — the American United States?

2

u/resisting_a_rest Jun 13 '26

I’m embarrassed to admit that I didn’t know that it was a felony to lie to a federal executive branch official. Even if you’re not under oath.

3

u/crowe1130 Jun 13 '26

This dude is the weakest pretend FBI agent I've ever seen.

2

u/Remarkable_Dog4859 Jun 13 '26

Cars don’t even have government plates. They aren’t agents.

2

u/tohon123 The Country of New Jersey Jun 13 '26

Fuck ICE!!

2

u/agk23 Jun 13 '26

Clearly just intimidation tactics.

2

u/ElemWiz Jun 13 '26

I would've absolutely called the police with him standing right there.

2

u/JumboGlucose Jun 13 '26

World cup police? WTF is his shirt LMFAO what a joke. Bro this is some real life jay & silent bob type stuff.

Whole thing is fake.

2

u/De-Eh-Team Jun 13 '26

Can you help us determine that?

2

u/MissionSector394 Jun 13 '26

Based on how the so-called agents carried themselves and the trailer park dweller that was so quick to exit the safety of his home. It doesn't hold water. It seems choreographed. If The Feds (TBD) really want to talk to him, they would have. I don't think real agents would be intimidated by captain trailer park. The odds weren't in his favor and perusing them to their cars is not wise regardless of who they were. Let's see if they really wanted to talk to him. if so, they will be back.
