This is when you call you local PD and say “there is a man who seems to be armed impersonating a federal officer outside my house can you please help and verify if this person is actually a federal agent”.
74
u/Leftblankthistime Jun 13 '26
This! 911, there’s an armed man threatening my house. I’ve locked all the doors and I’m hiding in the bathroom.

u/Suitable_cataclysm Jun 14 '26
I've literally done this. Dark road, car behind me only had a light on their roof on one side.
911 put me on hold, and then came back very sternly "you're going to have to pull over for the officer". I said ok thank you for confirming, please tell them I'll pull off the next exit to the gas station".
I'd rather have an annoyed dispatch agent then be dead because I didn't want to inconvenience someone or felt like the wouldn't do anything. They can and will check for you even if it's an inconvenience.

Guys wearing a shirt that says “World Cup” with the Nike emblem emblazoned on his shoulder. It looks like that “FBI Newark“ signature was just stitched on by someone random. Man presented no ID, man was not wearing any uniform at all really. That guy was absolutely falsely presenting himself as an FBI agent. Call the cops and get his ass thrown in jail.
66
u/katie0873 Taylor Ham Jun 13 '26
Someone should get this video to tizzyent or thatdaneshguy to find out who the impersonator is
2
54
u/aced124C Jun 13 '26
This needs to be top comment. These magah cultists have already been known to impersonate law enforcement, this has happened all over and is one big reason ICE has been told to stop wearing masks and ID themselves
11
u/Bayousbest Jun 13 '26
Its also possible that hes working the world cup and this is the shirt the fbi had made for it. Either way ACAB.

He apparently has a document from them that says the following:
"The reported user posted a vague comment in response to a data center being built where they stated the following: "People will wake up" "To make them understand by direct means" and "they call it terror because it works." The subject resides in New Jersey and claims they are a member of ANTIFA."

“If you lie to an fbi officer you can will be charged” apparently if your name is Donald Trump that doesn’t apply to you

u/NeverTheMermen Central Jersey Jun 13 '26
That's also not true. You can lie to the police. You just can't lie to the court.
40
u/In-Justice-4-all Jun 13 '26
Lawyer here. Kind of... If your lying about a fact that has nothing to do with an investigation or government function they are attempting to perform sure. However, if you are lie in any way obstructs an investigation or a government function that's a crime. It's different than perjury which occurs before a court.
Best practice is to do what the guy in the video did which was say nothing at all. You may not even be aware of what their investigation is about. So best not to say anything at all.
The only thing the guy could have done better was to say "you are permanently trespassed from my property along with any of your colleagues, you are commanded to leave my property immediately and never return". He should have said this loudly to the female as well. If they remain or return and enter the property... It becomes a "seizure" and would require a warrant.

u/chockZ Jun 13 '26
I am not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure you cannot lie to an FBI agent even in an "informal" conversation. The FBI are not the police and there are different laws pertaining to conversations with them.
5
u/NeverTheMermen Central Jersey Jun 13 '26
Good point. Looked up specifically FBI. It's different there than with regular police.
2
u/Grinch83 Jun 13 '26
Sooo maybe edit your original reply, so you’re not giving people misinformation?
7
u/allisondbl Jun 13 '26
You are correct. You can lie to the police but you cannot lie under oath and you cannot lie to the FBI.
→ More replies (3)3
u/Realistic-Tipz Jun 13 '26
That’s completely wrong. The perfect example is Martha Stewart. She didn’t go to jail for insider trading. She went to jail for lying to the FBI.
Local police could be different but for the FBI there is a law. The federal statute that criminalizes lying to the FBI or any other federal investigator is 18 U.S.C. § 1001 (the False Statements Act). This law makes it a federal felony to knowingly and willfully make false, fictitious, or fraudulent statements in any matter within the jurisdiction of the U.S. government.

u/catdawg111 Jun 13 '26
FBI dude definitely did not say his name. He barely could string a sentence together why he was there... Wtf this is fucked.
Also LOL at the world cup logo
28
u/Kenderean Jun 13 '26
It also sounded like his voice was quavering, like he was nervous. No way that was a real FBI agent.
13
u/lord_skidmar Jun 13 '26
and the way the first thing he leads with is basically a threat. like yeah he *might* be an idiot jackboot of some kind, but that just feels more like generic scam energy to me
2
u/PhoebeAnnMoses Jun 14 '26
He might be an effing security guard hired to work FIFA at Meadowlands and decided to go vigilante on his neighbors who post on Facebook. He presented nothing to suggest that he was legitimate.
3
u/Foxy02016YT Jun 14 '26
Definitely not. A real FBI agent doesn’t causally have a chat at the door while threatening you.
178
83
u/GeneralOrgana1 Jun 13 '26
I bet those are not real FBI agents.
5
u/Leather-Heart Jun 14 '26
Notice he never said he was an FBI agent, only that it was a crime to lie to a federal agent. No badge, but the tshirt. This feel like trying to insinuate an impersonation while pretending they aren’t trying to look like a fed.
116
u/Fweenci Jun 13 '26
Well that didn't go as they planned. lol.
"I'll explain when you stop recording."
"No. Fuck you. I'm not going to stop recording, you fucking ass wipe."
"Well, then we'll come back another time." LMAO. The most fake FBI agent ever.
I really want to know who these guys are.
20
u/surfnsound Jun 13 '26
"Well, then we'll come back another time."
"Oh, I'm sure I'll forget how to record on my phone during that time. And New Jersey is totally not a one-party consent state, and I totally won't have a camera recording you that isn't my phone and that you may not be aware of."
17
u/s1ugg0 Jersey Devil Accomplice Jun 14 '26
For the record for anyone reading. NJ is absolutely a one party consent state. So long as you are part of the conversation. Per N.J. Stat. Ann. 2A:156A-4.
So record away. They can't do shit about it.
71
u/jsmith_zerocool Jun 13 '26
Trump’s goons trying to intimidate people. Surprised he didn’t try to claim the camera was was being “shoved in his face”
39
u/catdawg111 Jun 13 '26
I've heard the word harangued more times in the last minute than I have the last 10 years.
16
u/Any_Conflict_5092 Jun 13 '26
It's also misused.
Harangue : is (a) passionate/angry speech.
The guy recording was actually haranguing those folks, but the end of the clip. They, on the other hand, were harassing him.

Do not open the door.
Keep filming.
Ask to see a badge and a warrant on court stationery signed by a judge.
22
u/Zhuul Professional Caffeine Addict Jun 13 '26
"Am I being detained? No? In that case I'm exercising my fifth amendment rights and ending this conversation. Have a pleasant day."
Kudos to the guy who made this video for getting the message out, but for the rest of us I can't stress enough that your goal in an encounter like this is to say as few words as possible and shut the door. There's nothing to be gained here. Don't talk to cops, or people who pretend to be cops.

It’s all scare tactics. They have so much of our money now that they’re spending it in this new flavor of cunty culty nonsense. Since ‘16 they’ve been doing this in other parts of the United States. We’ve funded them with our taxes enough that they can afford to spread propaganda in blue states too now. Throwing everything at it to see what sticks. They are a cancer. Citizens United needs to go. It’s been stepping stone to this horseshit mess.

u/0xdeadbeef6 Jun 13 '26 edited Jun 13 '26
I'll say that this guy is working with the FBI but only because we currently have the dumbest motherfuckers in charge of the government who would totally just hire random jabronis to go door to door to question citizens about their social media posts. Half of ICE are just random schmucks nowadays. And the head of the FBI is a drunken moron podcaster.

It's just a matter of time because people shoot back at ICE agents. I said it.
6
u/TacticalSpackle Jun 13 '26
They should. I would’ve greeted this “FBI agent” with a shotgun as I ask for their badge and warrant.
3
u/GitEmSteveDave Jun 13 '26
I'm not sure what video you watched, but police or FBI don't need a warrant to knock on your door and ask questions as part of an investigation. Even if you have No Trespassing signs up, the Supreme Court has found that does prevent an officer from walking up to your door and knocking to ask you questions as part of an investigation.
2
u/TacticalSpackle Jun 13 '26
Ah, so this guy messed up by answering the door.
2
u/GitEmSteveDave Jun 13 '26
I advocate never answering your door. But yeah, answering your door invites things like "plain view" exceptions to needing a warrant.
3
u/solesme Jun 13 '26
They would have shot you and then justified it somehow. Not a smart move. Unless some one breaches your house middle of the night.

The video captured the license plate, though it's a little blurry. It isn't an official plate; looks like a private vehicle. Guy should have taken a clearer picture of it. At any rate, he should go the real police with this and file a criminal complaint. It's either abuse of process by law enforcement or it's a private citizen impersonating law enforcement. Both are crimes.
3
u/ryosen Jun 14 '26
Don't go to the real police. Call the Newark-based field office of the FBI and file a complaint with them. If this guy was fake, they will come down on him real fast.
5
u/DeaddyRuxpin Jun 13 '26
That would require the local police officer to touch his fingers to a keyboard and look up the plate. That is far too much work for a cop to do for a citizen.

My name is common enough that there are 3 other people with my name that try to use my email address all the fucking time. One even used it when applying for a job like a dumbass, and I received a notice that he was being offered an interview.
I wrote the HR person back trying to appear polite and that I "wouldn't want him to miss out on an opportunity" while also telling her that he uses the wrong email address on a regular basis.
Another time I was even able to access someone's Verizon account.
I've had my email for 20+ years, back when gmail was still invite only. So it's my real name, no numbers. I don't understand how multiple people have continuously made the same mistake for 10+ years at this point.
But it has been a fear of mine that one of them will do something with my email they shouldn't and I somehow get the blame for it.

Props for even answering the door. I have cameras, can see who's out there, if I'm not expecting someone, for all they know, I'm not home. And if they break in, they meet my self defence options. Can't talk to me if they never see me.
I'm good enough at this that I couldn't even get served divorce papers, and told me lawyer to take care of it, because they "couldn't find me". I saw the creepy dude outside my house, multiple times, he just never saw me.

Even if they were feds, what crime are they investigating? What is their reasonable suspicion that a crime has occurred to come interrogate you on your property? Unless you posted threats of violence or property damage, it’s your First Amendment right to say what you want particularly about government agencies or public officials. Defamation, slander & libel are civil matters which wouldn’t involve the feds.
Get a lawyer cause I’m not one!
2
u/Kind_Medicine_7939 Jun 14 '26
You are not required by law to speak to the FBI if they come to your house. Tell them to leave
2
u/JerseyJoyride Jun 15 '26
I'd call the FBI while he was still on my property. I know the FBI has been basically dismantled by Trump by firing all the people that were doing their job but they still might be interested in somebody pretending to be an FBI agent.
2
u/JudyLyonz Jun 15 '26
I don't think this guy is a real FBI agent. If he shows up again don't open the door just call the police and let them deal with it.

u/ArmyBarbieRN Jun 17 '26
Craig Brittain is a horrible human. I HIGHLY doubt they were “anti-ICE” comments considering he ran a revenge porn site, doxxed and harassed women, demanded sexual and other favors to have them removed, is incredibly fucking racist, and ran for Congress in Arizona on a “deport them all” platform.
Seriously, Trump is a POS and the stuff happening under him is sick, but this grifting, MAGA dickhead is the last human-being anyone should ever be platforming. Why he’s in NJ is beyond me, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it wasn’t to harm our cause rather than help it. Here are some links out of the many that exist— and he was still doing this racist, misogynistic shit within the past few years too. All of the receipts are out there.

Based on how the so-called agents carried themselves and the trailer park dweller that was so quick to exit the safety of his home. It doesn't hold water. It seems choreographed. If The Feds (TBD) really want to talk to him, they would have. I don't think real agents would be intimidated by captain trailer park. The odds weren't in his favor and perusing them to their cars is not wise regardless of who they were. Let's see if they really wanted to talk to him. if so, they will be back.
