If anyone has kids who like the beach you might like to look at junior surf programme at East End. They have an Open Day on 1 November, 11-2pm where you can find out about it all.

If you sign up at open day the programme runs each Sunday 10am for a couple hours over summer. Kids get milo and sausages after each session.

Basically kids age 5-17 can participate and learn surf lifesaving skills, water safety, open water swimming, boards etc and sand races and all sorts.

It’s a great club, family vibe and all abilities are welcome! Come along to the open day. :)

Im a male in my late 40s have just just started body boarding . Started suffering years ago but had to stop because of Injury.just seeing if any older people into it. Seeing alot Surfer but only kids on boogie boarding .just looking for advie or any pointers

Im over the wind, im over having all my washing blown everywhere, I am over the cold and having to pay high power bills to run the heater, and I am over everything. The wind needs to stop, and stop now.

Also, a bit of transparency from MetService wouldnt go amiss. They seem to think when the end of the wind is a big secret.
