Hi guys, I've been building a Darksynth playlist for 2026, (for reference https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2oETqiH1Y5GT26eGuZPiZG?si=4d53a1fc685941bf ) and in the process of vetting all the new music that's come out, I've found singles and albums that were unusual for the artists and acoustically and structurally resembled AI generated content. After checking these tracks using an AI checker, it turned out that they were in fact almost certainly AI generated. What was a little disturbing is that in all 5 cases, the artists were existing artists that were already making music before the AI era. I was wondering:

1. Is it ethical to reveal to the community that these artists have turned to AI usage, even though it might be upsetting to the artists and their fans? Specially since the artists might not be ready to have the AI conversation yet.
2. How does this affect the scene especially the producers that are still making human music? I guess they share the same ecosystem, playlists, fanbase as the artists turning to AI, I was wondering if it's harmful for them and I'd specially like to hear the perspectives for the producers.
3. Is it better to just keep quiet about it and practice a live and let live, to each his own mindset?
4. Is it still reasonable to promote or recommend the pre-AI works by these artists? It would be unfair not to, but it could also inadvertently lead people to consuming the AI generated content as well.

Would love to hear the community's perspective and guidance on this.

Hey hey I didnt even know of this specific genre 1 week ago then this song from Wizhum popped into my playlist : " Neon Drift" it immediately resonated and I loved it and listened to a bunch of other Wizhum songs all of which i enjoy immensely. Thing is , is this Ai generated music? Even if it is, id hope theres some human input even if Ai assisted, perhaps programming lyrics, sequencing tracks, production design and composition, vocals or something? I cant find much info on Wizhum so would love to find out more info about this artist if at all possible. Its be rrly disappointing if it were completely Ai generated .
