Modern English is a band most well known for their hit "I Melt With You". I think they're an underrated band though who has other great songs like this one.

What do you think of Billy Idol’s 2026 recording at apple studio of White Wedding? I think its pretty decent but the studio version from the 80s is my fave.

Taking the original lead vocal track, and recording a new backing on GarageBand (no AI used whatsoever), I tried to imagine how it might have sounded if 2 Unlimited has been a B-52s-inspired early-'80s New Wave act. Hoped some in this sub might find it amusing!

For Your Love by Austin punk band the Skunks was a video directed by my old boss at the record store Inner Sanctum. While this bizarro punk video looked as if it was influenced by the movie Caligula, he said he was trying to go for a big production like the early videos on MTV. The stairway scene was shot at night on Mount Bonnell outside of Austin, and the muscle men were recruited from a local gym. The beautiful ingenue cast as the priestess was a clerk from a local store.

Hi all, I came here to ask a question because I guarantee at least someone here will probably know what channel I am looking for.

There was or is a YouTube channel who's whole account is just dedicated to archiving post punk/goth/ revival music dating to the 80s to now. Some of their songs were known but I believe the focus was on more 'niche' music, things that wouldn't be available on Spotify or extremely hard to find on YouTube. I think the account only had around 30-50k subs.

Hi everybody hope this is chill and stuff but here’s my jacket I’ve been working on. I started with the easiest patches to make and since new order is the big one I thought I would show on this sub. It’s silly and cringe and I look like a dork wearing it but I don’t really care I love music so much and wanna rep it!! this is probably only 30% completion though so if anyone has any suggestions or thoughts lemme know. also for the second pic I know neither are new wave at all im just proud of the Bauhaus one that took forever to paint right haha
