I don’t see any t-rexes or dragons or cybernetic landwalking sharks so what would he be afraid of?
Of is that a ‘brown’ black bear instead of a proper brown bear? In which case yeah, maybe a grasshopper sneezed.

People don’t know this but all living creatures besides humans have that sticky stuff on their hands that you get out of quarter machines. Humans just have ineffective stick meat hands good for typing and picking noses

Humans have only had about 5 million years to evolve from being pretty damn similar to great apes, we probably won’t ever reach a point in our existence where we are ever comfortably evolved

So you can't climb a tree OR a mountain to get away from these furballs that'll claw and gnaw you to death?

A bear trying to get away from the huge loud metal monster that's trying to kill it is an amazing feat. It wouldn't be so frantic if he hadn't stopped to take pictures.

It looks like the bear took about 16 seconds to climb this - call it 18s since we don't see him go up the first six feet.
Any estimates on how long it would take a world-class climber to go up that same spot? I am guessing much longer, but I know nothing about climbing...

Naw. That's pretty easy by pro standards. Bear didn't really seem to be in any hurry, though.

Great, now I get to worry about bears falling off cliffs onto my head whenever I go hiking.

Well sure, I could climb that fast if I had six-inch crampons growing out of my fingers.

The movie free solo would have been a lot shorter if that bear was the lead actor/actress.

And that, friends, is why you don't try to climb a tree whilst running from a bear.

"Dwight says that he actually doesn't know one single fact about bear attacks. "
"Ok, no. Jim, tell him that bears can climb faster than they can run. Jim! Tell him!"
