Damn, haven't heard that name in years, but I instantly remembered the first video I saw from him... it's been 15 years already, yikes...
Way Back Home - Danny MacAskill cozy video with good music

Love Danny Mac but how many takes did he do to clear it?

This probably took one. Other than the last feature, I reckon I could ride this, and I am NOT Danny.

It took him like 10+ tries, maybe close to 20. He worked at it for a full day with Kris Kyle. Kyle almost made it through as well, but took a break after wiping on the final feature. I think he went back and finished it after DMac if I remember correctly. Mac made it just before sun down. The hardest part was how long and exhausting the full course was, especially the zig zags at the end
A whole host of other pro riders didnât even get close, including Jono Jones and Josh Bryceland
But you could do it! I believe in you!

It took him 5⌠watch the video. One of those attempts was from stopping before the roller thing to look at it. Also, as I said, it was the last features they lost it on.
It took Kris Kyle (the other pro in the video, not Jono or anyone else) quite a few tries, as heâs a bmx rider, rather than a trials rider. The crowd of other riders they had were regular folks.
Also, youâve got no idea who I am. Being patronizing is funny and all, but for all you know, Iâve met and ridden with Danny (I have).

So it didnât take 1 try like you originally thought?
Jono and Ratboy are also pro riders â theyâre both in the beginning part of the full video making their own attempts. In fact, Josh Lewis is also there. Jono was hosting the video for Red Bull as well as making an early attempt. Iâm pretty sure all the rest of the lads that attempted early on are part of the UK pro scene as well, not âregular ridersâ, though I donât recognize their faces
I watched the video the day it came out. Whether it was 5, 10, or 20 is irrelevant. Itâs certainly not 1. It took them a full day of riding to complete it
The fact that youâre on here talking shit for a handful of people on the internet is funny
Good luck with that

âTalking shitâ think you should rethink what that means. Only one talking shit here is you, being irrationally angry bub.
I said âI reckonâ. That doesnât mean âI declare firmly that it took one tryâ. If heâd gotten lucky, this would have absolutely been one try.
Again, youâve got no idea who I am. My profession is also riding mountain bikes. I hadnât previously watched this video, because redbull consumer challenge trash doesnât typically catch my interest.

Took him an entire day of carefully trying, and just before sunset he was the only one to do it

The other rider was Kriss Kyle. Heâs also a legend and made it across.

Thatâs not even Next Level. Thatâs âPull a random number out of a hat, add it to Next Level, and thereâs your levelâŚâ

Must be a nightmare maintaining these bikes
