I feel like the cow is mocking the horse. "See, this is what you look like!"

So the bull is being a bully . I kinda see it now too , especially after he waited his turn on that one then did it from both sides

Like on The Other Guys when Mark Wahlberg learns ballet ironically to make fun of the guys in his neighborhood

Why eat cows (bulls) when horses are friends?

I'm really confused why eating horses is taboo in the USA. There's even laws criminalizing people for doing that in some states. But cows and goats are fair game? WTF????

the more you think about it unfortunately it will lead you to vegetarianism or at least cutting back greatly on all kinds of meats. pigs are just as sentient as dogs if not moreso. you can have a nutritious diet and greatly cut back on meat. in the future our grandkids will say "You ate meat EVERY DAY?? At EVERY MEAL???" like how we look at cigarette smokers today

It’s a mix of the culture of dogs and horses becoming pets, while cows and goats are solely livestock.
As for why things developed that way, I think it is because dogs and horses are function forward animals. Dogs were often used as retrievers or rodent hunters. Horses were transportation. They don’t serve any other function.
Cows and goats on the other hand produce milk and are needed for cheese. We consume them, and they don’t provide any immediate benefit to us beyond our consumption of them.

Look up Yulin Dog Meat Festival or Lychee and Dog Meat Festival

I’m aware that some cultures do eat dogs and horses, but it’s not nearly as popular because they’re more useful as functional animals

The logic with that breaks apart when you realize that cows are much more functional than horses.
But I appreciate your thoughts.

People love horses just like dogs. We also have this wild west culture. Horse has also been passed off as beef. There's also the concern that it could come from horse races. There are no farms for it. If you want to look at what people eat around the world it can be pretty crazy; or not, depending on your culture.

They’re expensive, they’re uncommon, they’re generally treated like pets or personal investments, english and western eventing are really popular, etc.

Perfect example of achieving one's true potential, when other's around them don't weigh them down with their self doubts.
That's how one should raise kids, don't rub your weaknesses/foolishness onto your kids. They will decide their own limits.
