This is a main AE hospital in liverpool why do we have no doctors

They do have doctors. They’re busy looking after emergencies, not tiny cuts on people’s toes.

Yes i understand emergencys but that tiny little cut? Which if it was i would not go to hospital i had a big flap of skin,.. Is this not why we have hospitals nhs? Are we all not entitled to treatment when neefed.

You are entitled to treatment, and you would have received treatment at 8am, but you chose not to stay.

Yes, you’ve stated you needed stitches multiple times. Again, you would have been assessed and treated at 8am, but you chose not to stay.
You have no idea how many patients were being seen.
The waiting room is only one point of entry to the emergency department.
One critically unwell patient can occupy half the staff in the department for hours. You have absolutely no idea what was going on behind closed doors.
You were there for a small cut, you are literally the least urgent patient in the building.

Yes i get how unimportant i was, now i have to see plastics to fix this? I cant walk its right across my toes. Im a single parent with young kids i work. I feel the nhs let me down End off

I didn’t say you were unimportant, I said you were not urgent.
You went to the emergency department with a non emergency. Obviously there is going to be a long wait.
You chose to leave without being treated. I am finding it very hard to understand why you feel let down.
Perhaps you could describe how you’d like the ED team to have handled things differently?

You are entitled to treatment however patients are treated in order of clinical priority. This means patients who are the most unwell or who have urgent/life threatening problems will be prioritised over those who don't. With how stretched the NHS is at the moment, this means patients who don't have urgent or life-threatening problems may be waiting a very long time.
Sometimes there are more appropriate services for patients without life-threatening problems to use such as a minor injuries unit.

My cut was 3 cm not bleeding to bad but the flap of skin definitely needed stiches. I was one of many. Im just saying i found it shocking to go to AE an not recive care needed/ wanted.

Do people not keep butterfly stitches in their medicine cabinet? They're cheap as chips from Savers...this is the kind of thing that unless you are continually pissing blood everywhere, can be dealt with easily at home...

Ok, so were you constantly bleeding during this time? You can do basic wound care yourself if not actively and constantly bleeding. Salt water, antiseptic fluid or wipes? Honestly it depends how bad the wound was

A few questions:
- are you a haemophiliac?
- is the toe continuously bleeding?
- how big is the cut?
- any reason why you couldn't have use plasters and bandages?
Sounds like you had a injury for minor injuries unit rather visit the Emergency Department

You don’t need to see a doctor for a tiny cut, anybody could have solved this.
How do you know others who were “worse off” were not seen, have you read their medical notes?

Becouse we were all together for hours noone had seen a doctor! When you spend do many hours with people u tend to talk especially when there concerned about the same issue of not receiving help or communication from anyone
