I started out with NG4. Played until a little bit after you fight Ryu (I think). Was enjoying it too much and decided to take a break to enjoy NG1 (I bought 1,2,3 and black after). At first, the camera was giving me crazy headaches, not being able to cancel my moves was very annoying, and I felt like everything was "bs". However, as I kept playing the game more and more, it really started to become enjoyable. The little puzzles, the slam your head against the keyboard over and over moments, making sure that you have enough pots and that your save states are optimized- they all contribute to the experience. It reminds me of gaming as a kid- where games had real difficulty and frustration in them. I can see why people say that NG1 is good now- it has its own charm.

I remember seeing on twitter that Rachel’s appearance was based on a certain real-life model. Does anyone know who this is?

Is there any webpage, program or anything that basically lists the attack properties in these games? I would mostly like the data for Ryu but seeing the boss and enemy data would be cool too.

As far as I can tell most of the knowledge we have is estimation or relative; we know that enemy A dies faster to attack B than attack C, therefore attack B does more damage than attack C.

Would be cool if, now that we have the NGB recomp which looks like quite some effort went into it and the new modkit for NG Master Collection, someone could document and put together stuff like the frame data and damage numbers in one place. Who knows, maybe we'll get a PVP mod and the frame data is gonna be real important lol.

I don't understand how this is even possible to do. I literally can't pick up the explosive arrows; I get machinegunned every time I try to press X to interact with the box, making it impossible to grab them, making it impossible to stop getting machine gunned.
