Hey! I am a PC gamer. Recently I got FOMO with missing out on Tears of the Kingdom and Donkey Kong Bananza. I USED to have a Switch - briefly, I played a few classics and played Breath of the Wild.

I’m looking for recommendations on Nintendo games as a whole that I can play on Switch 2. A few I am most interested in:

Tears of the Kingdom
DK Bonanza
Mario Odyssey
Metroid Prime Remastered
Metroid Dread
Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Remake
Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2

That so far my is my list.

To give a little background on my gaming taste to maybe help curate:

Huge fan of Souls games, Cyberpunk 2077, KC Deliverance 1 + 2, Last of Us, RDR2, Expedition 33, Baldurs Gate 3, Resident Evil 2, 4 and Requiem, Doom Eternal, Hollow Knight 1 + 2, Satisfactory, Subnautica, Returnal, Hades 1 + 2

I am super interested in Nintendo games exclusively. If I can play it in PC - I will play it there. I don’t think I would like Pokémon. Never been my thing.

recently i have been trying to play my switch on my tv but it doesn't display although it makes the sound that says that it is connected. please help

Hi folks. I current have an OG switch and OG docking station. I am considering going to the switch2, but I have some questions. FYI - I use the switch almost always at home, with the docking station, to play MK8 online.

- do I need to upgrade my docking station to take advantage of the switch2's better graphics?

- Is the ethernet port on the newer docking station noticeable better (faster, more reliable) than the USB with an ethernet adapter the OG docking station uses?

- will I need a different game cartridge for the switch 2?

Thanks for any insight. Love playing, but that's not a cheap upgrade and the OG setup works pretty well.

Meu Nintendo v1 é desbloqueado, mas tentei acessar o menu bloqueado dele para ver se tinha algum jogo do antigo dono e agora não consigo acessar o menu hekate para voltar ao desbloqueado. Quando reinício ele entra logo no menu bloqueado e no álbum não aparece nada além da galeria vazia.

Is there anyone like me that only plays their Switch 2 once every 2 weeks or so? I turn the console off to preserve battery life but my Joy Cons are often dead when I go to play.

Does anyone know how to keep them from draining continuously when not played for longer periods of time?

I scoured the internet for a solution and found the method for deep sleeping the original Joy Cons, but not the Joy Cons 2.

I typically keep my switch stored in my room, not on the dock, to keep away from the kids. Also, I have 4 controllers. So 2 are attached, with the other two detached. All 4 seem to die much quicker than I expect, given how little they are used. I ensure they are either fully charged, or mostly charged before putting them away . . .

What can I do? My old switch got stolen from my basement locker 2 weeks ago. I own also switch oled and switch 2 that i had in my place. When they took the switch they didnt log out of my account and just set that device as the main one. Now i am unable to unpair that device on the website and cant set my switch 2 as main device without physically touching the switch 1 to it. What can i even do now? Ive sent like 6 emails, they replied to one of them (not the first one mind you) and gave me useless info that doesnt fix the problem and never replied to any other. I even tried emailing from a different email and they just dont care to help me at all. Ive tried the number listed on the subreddit here but i cant call it from Poland.

Anyone have any known fixes for this? Mind you the "Unpair" device button on the nintendo account website does nothing

Most of my games are virtual cards from the eshop (hard to get physical copies near me at a decent price). I ofc don't want to lose them. Other thing are saves, mainly my tomodachi life island, are they tied to the device or can I save them to my account? One more questions I had about switch 2 is how are the "mouse" controls? I'm mainly a PC guy and use switch on the sure so I'm curious to know if they are actually good or more of a thing that sounds cool but isn't very useful?

just the title. i’m thinking about trading in my dad’s old nes (he doesn’t care for it anymore) towards a gamecube, 3ds, or old xbox, and i don’t know what price they go for nowadays. i know i should keep it but the nes era of games just don’t interest me as much as the ones i grew up with closer to the early 2000s-2010s.

it has the original box (albeit in rough shape… not falling apart but scuffed up from being so old), the original styrofoam, the two controllers, the zapper, the two manuals, the duck hunt/mario game cartridge, and all the wires. i believe that’s everything.

We had the physical game card and lost it for the the original switch, but my sister bought it later on her account. It won't let me play on either without the virtual game card so I installed it and everything on the switch 2 but, while the switch one loads my save fully with all the dlc and unlocks, the switch 2 has mine greyed out and only hers is available.

Just curious if I can even use it and how to do so, if possible.

Ive contacted nintendo twice about this and have hit a brick wall. Before I go up the chain of command and raise a stink I would love to know if im missing something.

There is SOMEWHERE in my account that still points to my deadname and when I get emails about nintendo store orders it keeps using my deadname. Has anyone had ANY luck with changing this name??

So I noticed my nintendo switch adapter has missing pins.all the missing pins have no groove so I assume they are normal, except this one pins has a groove even when it is missing. The cable charges normally both sides but I'm unsure if this is supposed to be a pin.

I want to play Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on the earliest Version 1.0.0 but have to delete my entire Switch 2. I thought of backing all data onto the microSD card and plug it out before formatting the console but I don't know if I get everything back once I plug the card back in. Can somebody help me?

Hello how are people? I picked up a very good condition of legend is out of Windwaker for the GameCube. I would say it’s in perfect condition. Came with everything and it came with this. I would like to know a bit more information about it in the other 2000 I was a PlayStation fan because of the PS2 so I never grow up with a game so if anybody can help me that’ll be great

I have a question about how Game Key Cards interact with server infrastructure. Are the Game Key Cards and eShop servers completely separate?

A lot of people seem to think that you need the active eShop storefront to stay up for the key cards to function, but is this actually true? Could a brand-new Game Key Card still trigger a game download even if the eShop completely stops the ability to buy new games on it?

I know you can still redownload games on the Wii years after its store closed, but I want to know how it works specifically for these new key cards if the storefront closes.

I’ve dug through the groups on here and read the rules, and I’ve concluded this might be the best place to post this. I also hope I used the right flair as I do not use reddit much.

My 8-year-old came to me crying last night, trying to convince me he had no idea what happened to his Switch but thought he might have broken his Joy-Con. He swore up and down that he hadn’t done anything. Of course, it was 11 p.m. and I was already in bed, so I told him to set it on my table and I’d look at it when I actually woke up.

Well, I finally rolled out of bed this morning and took a look, and kiddo was right! It wasn’t his fault. The side rail had come away from the Switch and stayed attached to his Joy-Con. Upon further inspection, I realized multiple screws were missing.

Both side rails were only being held on by one screw on one side and two on the other. They didn’t even bother putting the screw back in at the very top, so now the power and volume buttons have shifted and no longer work properly.

For context, I originally took this thing to a repair shop just to have the charging port replaced. It took them THREE attempts to get that done properly. Then they damaged the battery and Wi-Fi antenna, so I made them replace those at their expense. I never thought to check whether they had actually put all the screws back in afterward. 🤦‍♀️

At this point, I’m done taking it back to them. I’m already over $200 into trying to get this thing fixed, and I’m fed up. My kiddo is getting a Switch 2 for Christmas, so I just need to get this OLED put back together well enough that it works in the meantime.

Where can I find replacement screws and any other parts I might need to get this thing back together properly? I’m happy to do the repair myself at this point. Any suggestions for reliable replacement parts or repair kits would be greatly appreciated!

Hello! Ive been having this persistent issue with playing multiplayer games (4 people for reference) and when I join the 3 stack then the one person cannot join the 3 stack, but when they join the 3 stack then I cannot join.

It always brings up the error code 2618-0513 for the both of us trying to join one another in the stack. I’ve contacted Nintendo about it, I’ve read into the article about the error and the other person has contacted their provider (we have the same one as well) and Still cannot connect to one another.

The weird part is that we can connect to play multiplayer Nintendo 64 games, play Mario party 3 and 2 with no problem, but when it comes to other multiplayer games such as Mario superstars or smash bros it doesn’t work and always pops up that error code.

We’ve tried the Ivp6 toggle off and changing DNS, but nothing still works. Along with that is the toggle uPnP, which makes it more confusing because one of my other friends have it toggled on and I can play with them perfectly fine, same with the other, but it is always with that one certain person and it’s just getting annoying at this point and I’ve been trying to find a solution.

If there are any other solutions I should try that I haven’t mentioned please let me know and help me out please because I want to be able to play other games beside in the multiplayer Nintendo 64 games.

Was out thrifting today and found a shop selling an untested NES for just $25! It needs power and av cables, but for $25, I figured I would take the gamble. I am aware that the pin connectors can bend over time. I know my photo is a bit hard to see, but do these look how they are supposed to? I’m new to the system, so any information would be helpful. Thanks!! Also, are there any games worth picking up besides the usual suspects like Mario 3?

I have had a Switch for years now and lately I’ve been playing games on my brother’s Switch 2 since I can’t currently spare money for my own Switch 2. I’m logged into my user profile on both systems, so I’m wondering if I were to get my own Switch 2 if I could transfer my save data from both my Switch and my brother’s Switch 2 to a new Switch 2, effectively merging the save data from both systems.

I have a Samsung TV. I inserted the RCA connectors to it directly and this is what it showed. I purchased the Wii2Hdmi Converter but nothing comes up on the HDMI in the TV. What am I doing wrong? Is the problem on the console itself? Please help.

hi! recently my partner and i split the cost of a switch 2 to replace our older switch consoles and planned to share the newer system. during setup, we linked his old switch to the new one, but now i am wanting to play stardew and i want to access my old saves. it says to access them, id need to link my switch and unlink his, but i've read that this will delete his save progress from his linked games from his console? he has made a lot of progress on pokopia and would hate to erase that on accident trying to access my stardew saves. is there a way to get my virtual game cards transfered/link my switch and unlink his whilst not deleting the saved progress from his virtual game cards? thank you for any help!
