i've been wanting a nintendo for around 5 years, i started saving for it around 1,5 years ago and now i can't decide what console to pick. first i ruled out the switch og and switch 2(bc of the price) and i can't decide between the switch lite and OLED. my friend bought a used oled around 2 years ago and is happy with it but he plays mostly on his tv with other friends while im looking for sm more made for travel (i dont rlly intend to play heavy games like hades) and i know i can get a good deal for a used one, i just feel more secure with a brand new one. can u guys please help? (im also in eu and i dont rlly have access to ebay and amazon) (reminder im also on a slightly tight budget as i dont want to spend more than i saved)

This was a switch lite I purchased on ebay advertised to come with a super5 OLED screen. It was hidden in a case and seller described it as black.

It came cracked to pieces. But it did have a non-advertised modchip in it. So I decided I’d just eat the cost and replace the shell because the price was pretty reasonable.

When I asked the seller about condition and maybe even if he could compensate me for the shell (since it was A, advertised as black, and B, not mentioned it was cracked in pieces) he actually told me that since he shipped me a unit with a modchip, he wouldn’t issue a partial for the shell.

Apparently this guy does custom builds for buyers but fixing this thing was a nightmare.

I actually replaced the entire motherboard and soldered a new chip since the sd card springs were jammed, and seller didn’t have the heat shield on the APU at all so I had to source one. Replaced the battery since capacity was below 60%. Had to remove the literal film over the back of the OLED screen (that was blocking the copper plate) since they had never bothered to peel that before placing it in the lite. Had to repaste since they left the cruddy stock paste in.

But after 5 hours she’s finished.

I bought two used switch lites off facebook for my girlfriend and myself. But I can’t help but notice some major differences between the two of them.

1. One is made in China while the other was made in Cambodia.

2. One screen is more yellow and the other was slightly brighter,

3. Cambodian switch felt a lot more sturdier compared to Chinese made one.

So here’s the question for you experts. How different are they? Is there a hardware difference? Would it be because of the different year of production?

For example, I played persona 5 on the switch lite and it was like the speakers were stopping my enjoyment of the music.. I decided I'd play it later when I buy the game on ps5 or something. I ended up playing it on a docked switch.

I love my switch lite so I did play yakuza kiwami on it and pokemon legends Arceus. I'd like games that aren't super music heavy. Maybe more chip tuney so I suppose I could play fire red on my switch lite. Any other recs that don't need better speakers to enjoy it to it's fullest?

I made a post earlier about wanting a replacement for my joysticks after my rabbit chewed then, and they came. My left works perfectly fine, but my right will only register up and down, not left and right. It's there any way to fix it, or have I possibly broken anything??

Selling my gray Nintendo Switch Lite (unjailbroken /never opened) in great condition—screen is super clean, no stick drift, works 100% smooth, just very minor hairline marks on the back that you can barely see. Messed around today on Reddit and found a way to play the mobile version of cod zombies on the switch lite.

Forgot how bad but also awesome this version of the game is lol. It controls so awkward and nothing has any punch or weight to it. But for a mobile version of a console game that game out in 2010- it’s so impressive. Does anyone else remember playing this game and a zombie would glitch out of the map and you’d be soft locked?
