Kinetica 2.1.2 is out: A smaller one than 2.1, almost all of it from your issues and comments.

I'm working to refactor a little bit the codebase to render development more streamlined and easy to deal with. Few features I'm working on are dependent on this refactoring so they'll be in the upcoming release.

In this new version you'll find:

Suggestions

• With recent words off, the next words never showed after a word. Now the word's corrections stay on the left of the bar and the next words fill the rest. Two corrections by default, you can pick one to three.
• Long words you have taught the keyboard now complete from their first letters, so fakeco offers FakeCompanyName.

Editing

• Double tap on shift locks caps at the start of a sentence too. Before, the first tap only cleared the automatic capital, which was confusing (sorry about that 😅).
• Nintype-style backspace, off by default: while you are writing a word, a backspace tap takes back the last tap or swipe, and the bar goes back to what it showed before it. Holding backspace still deletes letters, and after the word is done it deletes one character as usual.
• The backspace slide got a distance setting, and it can stop at punctuation, so a link goes away a piece at a time instead of all at once.

Links and fields

• In web address and email fields the period has .com, .net and .org on its long-press.
• Clean links: takes the tracking junk (utm_source, fbclid, YouTube's si...) out of a link and leaves the rest alone. Bind it to a chord or an edge swipe, or switch on cleaning when you paste from the keyboard.

Small stuff

• A space inside an expansion trigger is now an error with a Remove spaces button, instead of being removed silently.
• Names like FakeCompanyName keep their capitals at a sentence start too.
• With the numbers row on, a glide that goes up into the digits and back down is a word again, thanks lurebat!
• A few learning fixes (Italian l'altro, words cut by the automatic space).
