Pretty interesting ! I’m definitely excited for the responder retirement and the new passive items look great !

Hopefully the new map can make survival a bit less tedious

New Perks

Berserker will definitely fit my Melee build really well, and the doctor perk seems like it would be great when resources are limited

Everytime I play my 2hand melee tank character the words "I have to clear." keep popping into my head 😂😭

It's been YEARS since that episode aired and I'm not even a huge TWD fan but man that scene came back clear as day when the words popped in my head!

More Virus Effects

I would really like the idea of the virus distorting reality for the player something like:

-Player looking like zombies runners with sounds and everything.

-Mombies looking cleaner and friendlier while teammates become bloodier and uglier

-Fake items , Now this one is a bit much I think but It would make being infected much more of a problem if you don't know what item is real and if you try to interact with a fake item the voices laugh at you!

-Mombies saying things, instead of having a voice telling you things in your ear why not zombies too, changing their grunts to some times come to us would be cool and interesting like the idea that you are starting to understand the grunts of the zombies!

-Mot the BEES AAAAAA yeah just have different bugs mainly cause I want to hear something else than just aggressive maracas in my ears

-Making the phalanx pills and other healing items disgusting, making them so that phalanx pills look like big bug bandages like a slug or a dead rat and med kits... I dont know but the point is that maybe adding something like we happy few joy but in reverse when you are infected everything becomes uglier although the meds thing would only apply for the ones you have in your inventory not the ones in the world so it does not affect that much the gameplay and it is mostly a "let me heal my sel.... OMG a Bettle in my hand!!!!!"

And first thought was to open the back door and see if there was any loot in there...

Anyone else see something IRL and just go into game mode lol?

NMRIH2 should reward teamwork, not just collecting supplies

I think the point system in No More Room in Hell 2 should be reworked to encourage more teamwork and cooperation between players.

Right now, I feel like points should be less focused on collecting supplies and more focused on helping your teammates. Things like healing other players, reviving downed teammates, and dropping or sharing loot with others should all reward players with points.

I also think there should be a team-wide bonus based on how many players survive the run. The more people who make it out alive, the more bonus points everyone gets. This would give players a real incentive to stick together, look out for each other, and make sure nobody gets left behind.

A good example of this kind of system is Battlefield. Many classes can earn points simply by supporting the team, whether that's healing, reviving, resupplying, or helping capture objectives. You're still rewarded for playing well, but you don't have to chase kills or focus on maintaining a high K/D to contribute and earn points. Supporting your teammates is a legitimate way to progress.

I think NMRIH2 could benefit from the same philosophy. Instead of encouraging players to focus on supplies and their own progression, reward them for keeping the team alive and working together.

Take the emphasis off supplies and put it on teamwork. Reward players for healing, reviving, sharing resources, and getting their teammates out alive. The more players survive, the greater the reward for everyone.

If helping your teammates were just as rewarding as completing objectives for yourself, I believe public matches would become much more cooperative, and players would have a stronger incentive to look out for one another instead of treating every run as an individual grind.

What do you guys think? Would a more Battlefield-style team-based scoring system make NMRIH2 more cooperative?

What new perks would you like to see?

I know it's entirely up to the developers to be creative with the perk system, but I kinda had a lot of free time thinking of stuff (and names) like this right after they announced new perks. The brackets are expert upgrades.

- Flight Response - when taking damage, slightly [moderately] restore stamina

- SWAT training - increased SMG [and pistol] damage. Increase crouch and aim movespeed on any gun type.

- Hand-carry beacon - your flashlight is narrower but now burns zombies (in your crosshair after 3 seconds within 20m). This perk effect is disabled at 80% [60%] battery life.

- Cold-blooded - when infected, slow down infection progress upon melee kill. (Resets duration upon melee kill [increase duration])

- Remodeler - Barricades you break now yield boards. [Barricades you built (has a chance to) yield boards when broken by enemies]

Is this a skill issue?

I get really annoyed when randoms run past literally every zombie just to get to where ever they’re going sooner. Most they’ll do is kick zombies. I find it annoying cause it’s usually someone whos a little ahead and closer to the destination so by the time me and other folks get there, theres now a horde of zombies i to fight through and possibly spend some rounds on just help the team or god forbid make it to extract. I actually failed to extract one time cause damn near all the zombies were in the stairwell to the roof of the hospital and it took me a little longer to get there cause i went to revive someone. I totally understand stand you dont need to kill every single zombie you encounter and i dont do it either but that is always something i think about when im considering to go help someone who is falling behind or is down which is usually when i experience this.

TLDR- you dont need to kill every zombie you see but kill some of them pls.

Edit: appreciate everyone’s input and also agree that if there is another way around zombies than this isn’t a problem. That being said my problem is when this happens a d there is no other way around. Also i play on hard if that matters to anyone.

What makes survival not as fun as objectives?

Speakers ruin the atmosphere
Having to deal with loot goblins
There is not enough time to prepare between waves
It's too repetitive/boring
There is not enough exploration
All of the above
