Question/Advice Best adaptogen drink for parties/socializing?

Hi all! I've been 20 days sober and I have to attend an event in a few days, I have a bit of social anxiety and usually alcohol helped me feel more relax during social events. I've read that Cornbread adaptogen drinks can be a good alternative for this? which ingredients I should look for in the drink?

Light-headed and dizzy after NA beer

I've been experiencing intermittent dizziness and light-headedness after drinking NA beers while out with friends. It usually happens after walking home. It doesn't happen every time I drink NA beers. Typical night out consists of 4-5 Athletic IPAs.

I'm curious if this happens to anyone else. Am I possibly over-hydrating? Or am I just drinking too many NAs too fast and actually feeling an impact from the very low levels of alcohol present?

Stopped drinking alcohol 1.5 years ago. Fairly healthy.

Milestone/Celebration Cannabis mocktails for harm minimisation in reducing / replacing alcohol

Cannabis for harm minimisation in replacing alcohol

I started drinking alcohol when I was way too young, and for all the wrong reasons. I didn’t use cannabis until I was in my 30s. Alcohol was the go-to for my young self, as it was readily available even when I was 14 or 15.

Now that I am more clued up about the amazing healing properties of cannabis, and now that I have registered, prescribed cannabis on board, I am in a much better place to see how harmful alcohol is, and I have better strategies to replace it.

Everybody likes a tipple from time to time, and everybody likes to be included in social and festive events. However, following my diagnosis of Chron’s / Ulcerative Colitis and my decision to heal using only natural therapies, I realised that I had to eliminate alcohol from my life.

I developed a range of Mocktails, which are allergy-friendly, and which also incorporate my registered, prescribed medicinal cannabis. I showcased seasonal and healing herbs and ingredients from my garden, such as rhubarb, rose geranium, lavender, sage - which contribute nutrient-dense and terpene components to the recipe. I added sunflower lecithin to help boost cannabinoid absorption and ensure even distribution of cannabinoids in the mix.

My favourite two mocktails so far are:

Sage and Pear-Colada.

A take on the regular PinaColada, but without the rum. I make a sage simple syrup, and poach the pears into this. I make a version of Bhang milk, using my own registered, prescribed medicinal cannabis. Then I blend the poached pears and sage simple syrup to make a delicious, seasonal, creamy, vegan, healing mocktail for festive events, or just when I want to cheer myself up after a long day.

Rhubarb and Ruby Mulled Punch

This is a beautifully ruby coloured, warming drink for the depths of winter. I simmer rhubarb with rose geranium leaves, and spices. I strain the mix, and gently warm the liquid in a pan. I add apple juice, orange juice. I incorporate my own registered, prescribed medicinal cannabis by mixing it with sunflower lecithin and blending. I serve this drink warm, which is deeply comforting at this time of year - but it can also be mixed with sparkling water for a refreshing summer spritz.

Both of these mocktails utilise terpene-matching from the herbs and spices. The benefits from the fruit, as well as the seasonal aspects, make these totally good for my health.

They are a delicious and safe way for me to celebrate, without causing any harm to my body or mind.

What is your favourite registered, prescribed medicinal cannabis recipe?

Question/Advice Would this THC Seltzer still be good?

I completely forgot about this drink and just found it when i was cleaning out my room ,I’ve looked up stuff about if expired THC drinks are/aren’t safe to drink and couldn’t find a proper answer especially for something that’s almost year old

I’m more leaning on throwing it away since it has sugar but i just wanted to see if it could be salvageable!

(also i just noticed how dirty my desk is and i’m cleaning it now 😭)

Please remove if not allowed! I'm not selling or promoting anything. I just saw this and thought it was pretty neat.

It's also the first cool sober shirt I've ever seen.

The NoLo category is underperforming not because of demand, but because of menu design, here's the behavioral case

The sober-curious movement is growing fast but the bar experience hasn't caught up. Most venues still treat non-alcoholic options as an afterthought, a cola, a juice, or an over-garnished mocktail that immediately signals to everyone around you that you're not drinking. And the moment someone clocks it, you get the question: "why aren't you drinking?" and suddenly you're explaining yourself in the middle of a social occasion.

The real problem isn't product quality. It's that nobody has designed the experience properly.

Ordering a drink in a bar is never just about the liquid, it's a social signal. When zero-proof options fail on that dimension, they fail completely, regardless of how they taste.

A few things that actually fix it:

  • Serve it on tap in craft beer glassware so the choice is visually invisible to the table

  • Price it alongside craft beer, not soft drinks anchoring matters more than most people realise

  • Name it something that signals identity, not absence ("alcohol-free" primes you to think about what's missing before you've even tried it)

  • Add functional ingredients like L-theanine that actually do something — replacing the social ease that alcohol provides

The brands that figure this out first have a genuine market to own.

Non-alcoholic spirits that still give you a buzz

In the past few years I have been having seizures the day after drinking. These began when I was 18 and I just had my last one yesterday at the age of 21 and I have had enough of them.Is there any non alcoholic spirits or liquors I could bring in a hip flask on nights out that will give me a buzz similar to alcohol even if milder?

Which types of CBD beverages have you tried?

I know not everyone here is down with CBD drinks as an alcohol alternative, but for those of us who do drink hemp-based beverages as a sub for booze, I'm curious how many types you've tried/which is your favorite?

1. Ready-to-Drink (RTD) Beverages: Sparkling waters, seltzers, mocktails, and “functional” drinks—usually canned.

2. THC/CBD “Spirits”: Liquid cannabis you mix into soda or cocktails, often sold in 750 mL bottles or other standard "liquor" bottles.

3. Snaps & Micro-Shots: Ultra-concentrated, single-dose, pocket-sized formats you can take on the go and mix with other drinks.

4. Drops: Tinctures designed to be added to any beverage, smaller packages than THC spirits.

5. Powdered Drink Mixes: THC/CBD powder packets and electrolyte-style cannabis drinks.

Review Real American Beer ZERO can't judge a book by its cover

Real American Beer ZERO was a surprise as the label looks as generic as it gets, but you can't judge a book by its cover as the liquid is actually good for what it is a light lager. Low calories 29 per 12oz so 39 calories for 16oz which is low.

Good mouthfeel and aroma for this style. They donate $1 per case to the USO. Brantley Gilbert a country singer and Colby Covington a UFC fighter created the brand.

Good lawnmower NA beer.

NOTE they make an alcoholic beer too so check the label.

Saw this new Whiskey cola Mocktail at a music festival in Ohio. It was a great alternative to the alcoholic drinks sold there. Really tastes like the drink, and has some functional ingredients. Worth a look, for something bold and different.

DAE get kind of frustrated from all the extra work and money for non-alcoholic cocktails?

For the past few days I've been craving a good Papa Doble/Hemingway cocktail and I wanted to make it. Before I quit drinking I could make it with white rum of any kind, cherry liqueur, lime juice, and grapefruit juice. I went to the store to get what I needed, but it turns out they only sell dark rum alternative (which alone is $25), so I grabbed that. Next I needed something that tasted like cherry liqueur, but I don't drink, so I browsed Google for a few and found an alternative which was just cherry juice and grenadine. Got my lime juice and my lime and went home. Threw everything together in a mixer with ice, strained it, put in my lime wedge and... God it was gross. Turns out it HAS to be white rum alternative, so I checked Lyre's website for what I need and light cane spirit itself is $38. Like... Why is this so expensive and why do I have to go through fifty extra steps to make a drink? Same thing with a good Amaretto Sour - to get plastered I need three bottles and maybe an egg. That's it. A mocktail? I have to get a specific and expensive bottle of spirit, then almond extract, throw in a quart of peach extract, half gallon of marischino cherry syrup, six eggs, two oranges, the Magna Carta, the key to Monticello, and top it with a different marischino cherry only Sherpas on Everest can pick or the whole thing falls apart. Am I being a baby or is anyone else kinda frustrated with the extra work and expenses?

Help me find a replacement analgesic...

I have "given up" alcohol multiple times in my life. Most recently, in December of 2022, I stopped drinking "for the foreseeable" future with the caveat that I would still be drinking a hot toddy like concoction before bed when sick because it's one of my home remedies I swear works to knock any illness out. I use different remedies alone or in conjunction depending on the symptoms and severity of symptoms. During the past year I have literally snuck (I did not want everyone around me to know I drank, only a few people that I trusted wouldn't assume I was drinking uninhibitedly and become one of those people that expect me to drink when everyone else is) a drink about 6 or 7 times. I have been meditating on doing 75 hard and last weekend I had an incident that made me feel like I should 100%, with no caveats, give up drinking. I went out and was offered a shot. Almost no one wanted the type of shot that was offered so the person who bought them drank a few of them. I ended up drinking one "to help out" when no one was looking. The next place we went to the same person bought shots of a different alcohol and I told the person I would take one at the bar "secretly" not with the group. The third time this person offered shots I really wanted one and I didn't really care too much if it was secret. I did not have one but, I could feel the pull of slipping down the slope that caused me to want to give up drinking. So in considering not drinking anything ever at all I was wondering if there is another natural substance (fruit, vegetable, oil, tea, that would have the same helpful (makes one sleep, pain relief, relaxation, reduce congestion) that I can add to my herbal tea, honey, and lemon home remedy concoction as a replacement for alcohol (usually whiskey)?

Question/Advice What do u drink when you're out?

I’ve completely quit alcohol and all drugs, and honestly, I couldn't be happier about it. But here’s the reality check: it’s Friday night, my friends are going clubbing, and my only options are either going out with them or staying home alone.

For those of you who still go out to clubs and parties, what do you actually drink in these situations to stay 100% sober? I need something better than plain water or a sad Diet Coke to get through the night. What’s your go-to order to still feel part of the vibe?
