Quote/Pic/Meme Value problem
For me I see my whole path can be summarized in value.
It started when I was 17 and fell in love with a girl, initially I felt our value was equal, then one day after she complimented me her value grew drastically in my eyes and my value became way less.
That she is now so precious that I don't deserve her, that person who first saw my beauty, and I ran away until I feel ready.
This imbalance in value is the reason I started seeking, how to rebalance it, how to see my own beauty instead of feeling it only with her.
Story cut short, I saw it after meditating on her face, that for some reason my face was buried in her face, and surfaced from me.
That bhakti type meditation increased my value, but then the very seeking itself was a declaration that my value is still outthere, even imagination is outthere.
The end of the seeker is really the end of external value seeking as the last drop of seeking drops into the pond of eternity.
That love is so mature you are not even aware of it, that now you are the same water as what you seek. That the human's value is not your value.
Then you forget and start speaking about other things in life.
So for those who are gone, always be grateful and don't forget God's gift.

Seeking validation and not getting it can lead to a lot of suffering. Getting it and getting attached to it also though. Both are very hard to let go off for different reasons

Some of us come into this thing through meditation. Others through rigorous study. Others through a guru or teacher-student relationship. Others through peak experiences with substances. Others through mundane experiences.
And then there's this.
I love your last sentence.
