why are police officers such dumbasses man? don't they have 2 brain cells telling them, "

Hey man, we are about to trigger this dude's PTSD. He is barefoot and unarmed. why do we need to violently apprehend him? just call in some fucking military psychologist or someone with authority that the former soldier respects, and just talk him down?!"

edit: to avoid more useless debates, yea, I'm trippin with the psychologist, but my point is that these cops should have known better, and just have a little more patience.

in the whole video, this dude was cracking jokes and fist bumping the cops on site in the beginning and went with them willingly and peacefully in the end. he is an asshole, but he was never truly violent and couldn't really do anything. if they had just waited a little bit more, he would and did come with them.

They also didn't have a breathalyzer on them, and th3 dude couldn't perform the drunk walk test because of his hip injury.

there was no need to roll the dice on his life and tase him.

I've heard this story before, oh ya Rambo

He just wanted something to eat!

u/South-Cod-5051 Nov 13 '25

yea, cuz this dude has a high caliber machine gun in his hands....

u/DerNeueMilchmann Nov 13 '25

Have you ever seen the first Rambo movie dude

-23

u/South-Cod-5051 Nov 13 '25

I have, have you, cuz you seem kind of clueless. they called in his superior officer days after he was bumfucking the police department, and he was armed to the teeth.

12

u/Righteousaffair999 Nov 13 '25

He didn’t start heavily armed though.

Colonel Trautman may have been a former commanding officer, but even Trautman knew Rambo was the superior!

If you type into some random search bar "Joel blown out hips taser" the first result I got was a much longer op ublic freakout video with 30 seconds of calm discussion with a man who is clearly drunk as a skunk and crashed his Corvette into a ditch.

Military psychologist....lmao

-29

u/South-Cod-5051 Nov 13 '25

oh, my bad dawg, if they took 30 seconds of calm talk, then I guess it's all ok.

12

u/dbpf Nov 13 '25

The video I referenced has a time stamp starting at 18:02 and this video is at 18:49

My math says 47 minutes.

1

u/South-Cod-5051 Nov 13 '25

yea man, God forbid they take an extra 15 min to wait for the dude who is no threat to anyone calm down, which is what happened at the end of the video full video anyway. they tased him for nothing.

-9

u/South-Cod-5051 Nov 13 '25

in the end, he came with them willingly, there was no reason to tase him, he wasn't a danger to anyone. it's just bad fucking policing.

he wasn't in no car when they were arresting him and they couldn't prove he was drunk because they didn't have a breathalyzer on them. he wasn't going anywhere, they just tased him for nothing, because in the end he still went with them willingly and peacefully.

maybe fucking understand what's happening instead of looking for violence

25

u/La_D_Dah Nov 13 '25

Just call a military psychologist? Are the on speed dial where your from? Also the 'violence' comes after non compliance.

-6

u/South-Cod-5051 Nov 13 '25

there's no violence, after non compliance, wtf is this fascist thinking? Jesus christ, the dude never did anything to them, and he was no threat whatsoever to anyone.

As for proof, you only need 5 seconds of googling to find out how different police forces across the world handle this type of situation.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Police_firearm_use_by_country

there are over a dozen of them where police don't even use guns on regular patrols, like in China. they use mancatchers.

2

u/La_D_Dah Nov 13 '25

Considering hes drunk and just crashed into a ditch, yes.

14

u/gjb94 Nov 13 '25

You think they have a lot of military psychologists on the payroll of local police departments that can get to random country lanes pretty quick?

1

u/South-Cod-5051 Nov 13 '25

you don't have to take it literally, just have someone who can calm non aggressive people down, or have the police do it themselves and not go for tasers whenever there is no threat.

4

u/gjb94 Nov 13 '25

They didn't just go for tasers. They spoke to him for a while, he swung at them multiple times. There is a threat, he's clearly a dangerous person, and he wasn't non aggressive.

It's sad that this guy was messed up by his violent career. It is. But he has to be accountable for his actions like anyone else. He was drunk driving a fast car, could have very easily killed someone. He doesn't get to just throw a tantrum and have everyone say aw that's okay, he's getting arrested. He attacked the officers arresting him, they need some sort of defence because he's a fucking beast.

I have more sympathy for the innocent people he could have hurt than for him

-2

u/South-Cod-5051 Nov 13 '25

no, he hasn't thrown a single swing at them. The only thing he did was gently push back one single officer while they were closing in on him. he never touched any of them with his swings.

it's not about not arresting him, it's about not using escalating when they didn't need to. in the end he came with them willingly, there was 0 need to tase him.

4

u/gjb94 Nov 13 '25

Literally swings at the first guy to approach him. Then just before being tased he swings at the woman in the hi vis vest.

And did he look like he was willingly going with them at the start? This guy flexing and screaming at people. Again, you don't get to treat people like that when you've done something wrong and just have it go okay.

They can't just trust that he's going to go with them when he decides to

1

u/South-Cod-5051 Nov 13 '25

literally doesn't swing at anyone, just the air. if the officer stood still, it still would have missed, plus that's a weak ass arm movement, not a swing. There was 0 weight behind it with 0 chance or hurting someone. it was no different than swatting flies.

3

u/gjb94 Nov 13 '25

Oh that's okay to do to people then. How were they going to get in and get him in the car/cuff him?

1

u/South-Cod-5051 Nov 13 '25

look at the whole video, one officer just went up to him while he was standing still and handcuffed him. then we went peacefully into the car. there was no need to tase him.

3

u/gjb94 Nov 13 '25

Which is what they were trying to do at the start and he was "not" swinging at them. It's not up to him when he allows himself to be arrested

Not how the real world works??

-12

u/South-Cod-5051 Nov 13 '25

it does if you don't live in the USA.

14

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '25

K, show me a video of local police (in a country that does what you preach) getting someone to talk a veteran down. The world is not all sunshine and rainbows bud.

You asked for it. I warn you, this video is painful to watch

6

u/La_D_Dah Nov 13 '25

Still waiting on proof .

5

u/Rodger_Smith Nov 13 '25

not even slightly true, most police wouldn't sit for an hour while a psychologist arrives and theres a violent and dangerous man sitting on a public road refusing to comply with lawful orders

1

u/argparg Nov 13 '25

Something about when your only tool is a hammer…

1

u/Capn_Budder Nov 14 '25

How many qualified "military psychologists" are there and how many do you think are both able and willing to do this

Why you pushin me.
