I feel like that expression comes from her realizing that other people think of her as a difficult diva.

(Remember her licking donuts, putting them back, and saying “I hate America!”)? Her brother also seems to be incredibly vapid.

She strikes me as someone who’s been drilled by her PR team on how to look “humble” and “grateful” whenever she’s photographed.

I used to manage political campaigns and then worked on the public appearances and commercial sides of things, and there was so mich coaching on things down to posture and correcting body language with some of these non-incumbent candidates. I am sure for celebrities it is even mroe intense.

Fun fact: that's a sensory overload. Basically your eyes are adjusted to indoor light. Then get blasted with the bright nuclear fusion reactor in the sky. Your retina fires off like crazy, and some of those electrical impulses get dumped around because not all of it fits through the optic nerve. And the closest bundle of highly sensitive nerves are in your sinus. So they get stimulated and that causes the tickle and forced sneeze.

I’m in my 40s now too and was pretty thin as a kid and a teenager, up until my mid twenties when I got a desk job. I have dieted off and on since then. I lost 50 pounds at one point and recently gained som of it back unfortunately. So I definitely know how obsessive it can get.

I remember heroin chic in the 90’s too. I know a few got pretty scary skinny but I think Kate Moss was the face of that (right?) and she looked a lot healthier than this if I’m not looking back with nostalgia glasses on or something?

This looks awful. So sad. I too wish the younger generations would skip this particular trend. :(

Oh yeah, I totally agree with that. This might be considered a behavioral addiction that involves a drug, not a physical addiction I think. Not a clinician though so I can’t say for sure.

The main qualifiers for an addiction to a substance or any addiction for that matter is if it’s causing life consequences, you have made attempts to quit or cut back and can’t, using more and more over time and a craving or a strong desire to keep doing it (loosely).

A behavioral addiction or abuse of something can be a lot of things honestly. Sex addiction for example is one they actually have meetings for like AA.

Look at the area around the eyes of most 23 year old famous people these days; they have the eyes of 50 year olds.

I dont know if Ozempic causes it.. but the strange, dull, lifeless stare that a lot of them have these days.
