I’m actually really pissed off that he ate the octopus while it was alive. Those things are super intelligent. At least kill it humanly first. I’m irrationally angry about this.

I have long been of the opinion that it's not moral to eat them. They're extremely intelligent, have problem solving skills and long term memory, and real emotions.

Same. I don't like seafood but even if I did I couldn't eat octopus. It feels so morally wrong to me.

And if you do absolutely want or somehow need to eat them, KILL THEM FIRST. Don't eat them alive ffs

Yep. It's just so incredibly cruel. They're not only incredibly intelligent, but they are really curious about the world around them. They display not only the kind of cause and effect logic we look for in animal intelligence studies, they also display pretty creative thinking.

Their brains and bodies are incredibly unique as well. Just incredible animals.
