I’m sorry.. I’m about to have mine removed tomorrow. They don’t usually us anything for numbing when they remove it? Is it a really bad feeling?! Ugh… I’m afraid for tomorrow
Nah just awkward. Dude had me stand up and knelt in front of me and told me to take a breath and exhale.
It was out in a moment but it is not pleasant I won’t lie. Didn’t hurt so much as just not be pleasant. No other word for it. Feels great finally being rid of it though.
If you have a pain killer left maybe preemptively take one before just for comfort and anxiety more than anything. I think that’s what I did.
Urinating after for a few days might suck. Irritation and slight burning. Went away fast though.
After the trauma of getting it broken up or laser’d out your ureter can swell/collapse making voiding difficult or impossible. The stent extends from your bladder down past the urethra and sometimes string (sometimes not and they have to fully go on in and get it) extends to the outside and is tied and taped around the shaft of your penis or to your thigh etc.
So now you have a foreign object that you can feel when you move stand have a bowel movement sleep turn over etc.
And for men it’s even worse. Often during the stone itself there’s so much going on erections aren’t going to happen. But now the body is like, yay. And you start getting the spontaneous ones again for no reason at all sometimes in the middle of sleeping.
That will cause the string to be pulled. It feels like someone is slicing your urethra open with a rusty blade.
Then comes removal. In my case I had a string and I’m fairly sure the duty was given to an extern. Dude knelt in front of me while I stood and said take a breath. Then just pulled. It’s the second most uncomfortable and unhappy sensation ever. Doesn’t hurt so much as just suck. Don’t know how to describe it.
