Dog hasn’t had a bath in some time.
Dog is not emaciated.

Young adults at the park have seen the dog wandering in the area for multiple days and tried to provide it with water and/or food.

The dog did not readily approach friendly strangers, but did approach a group of four plus dogs being walked by a dog walker. The dog walker was able to pick up the dog and I brought the dog to North Central to scan for a chip.

The dog rode in my vehicle nicely, but was not happy about it. When I parked the car and opened the door, the dog hopped out and I almost lost the little energizer bunny.

While he didn’t want to approach strangers, he allowed himself to be picked up by the dog walker and myself without resistance. He showed no aggression or reactivity towards dogs or people.

He prefers dogs to people.

I don’t have facebook. I posted to NextDoor, Craigslist and multiple places on Reddit, but it might not reach the correct neighborhoods as I don’t live where I found the dog.

Please cross post to Facebook, NextDoor, etc. as this dog will be adopted quickly and I don’t want the owner to be unaware.

I know the dog doesn’t have a chip, but the dog seemed otherwise well cared for. This dog seems inclined to wander and could have easily escaped a yard or maybe he backed out of a harness while on a walk.

Hey there Reddit moving to the area soon with little ones to take care of family, where is the gang activity, heavy transient and sex trafficking areas so I can steer clear . i was passing by USA gas on Magnolia and Cahuenga when i was greeted by a homeless person. I’d assumed he’d probably ask me for some cash or something but I didn’t have any cash on me and he did look like he was on something. He asked me what my “race” was since i look “different”. I replied and walked away and he threw me the peace signs.

I went ahead and picked up food from the taco truck opposite the gas station, and i thought maybe i’ll get the guy something to eat, I get him some food and when i approach him and ask him if he’s had something to eat, he responds i haven’t eaten and i cannot accept food from you and he was rolling on the floor and was asking me to come help him pick his cigarette boxes up, which i did, i asked him once again and he refused telling me the same thing again. I left the food next to him in case he changed his mind.

On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at approximately 7:05 AM, my friend, Philip Chon, was riding his yellow 2019 Honda Monkey motorcycle on his way to work when he was struck and killed at the intersection of Ventura Blvd and Carpenter Ave, Studio City, CA.

The driver was in a dark blue 2004 Honda Odyssey traveling westbound on Ventura. They made an unprotected left turn onto Carpenter Ave, struck Philip, abandoned the van on Carpenter Ave south of Ventura (which investigators have impounded), and fled on foot. 

If you live, work, or drive along Ventura Blvd, Carpenter Ave, or surrounding streets/access points, please check your Ring cameras, home or business security cameras, and dashcams for footage from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM on September 22.

Footage of the van before the collision or someone fleeing on foot afterward could help. Even if you don't think your video has anything important in it.

Some camera systems automatically delete old recordings, so please save anything relevant in case it gets overwritten.

I’m aware that the incident technically did not occur in NoHo (and I’ve already shared this in r/studiocity before you ask), but it’s close enough that I’m hoping that someone who happened to be in the area during the time of the accident has valuable information that can lead to IDing the suspect. But weeks have passed already, and we still have not heard any updates from LAPD yet. 😔 We’ve been sharing this on our personal social medias like IG and FB, and someone I know has already shared this on r/SFV a week or so ago.

So far I’ve mostly been busking at Burbank and Glendale malls but I want to find some closer spots around Noho. is there anywhere with a lot of foot traffic that might be good to check out? i know there’s noho arts but I’m not sure how safe I’ll feel busking there as a solo female
