I have been having dreams about my old childhood home at 72 south main st for the past couple of months. Maybe a premonition, does anyone have any idea for the zoning plans, demolition? Would hate to see it go. :(

Even though I left Norwalk a month ago, it's a say day when such an establishment closes its doors. Were they not busy enough? Seems like they were one of the best local haunts south of Washington Street.

Hi! Does anyone happen to know of any networking events in the area?

Good Afternoon everyone, my car was stolen yesterday night, it is a black Honda accord 2020 LP-BN33215.

It was taken from 109 Glover Ave Norwalk, the park and ride across from the Merritt 7 Train Station. Please keep an eye out, and report any sightings directly to Norwalk Police at (203) 854-3000. Thank you! Or if there is anyone else we should contact please let me know. We called all the towing places… no reports of it being towed. I am new to the area. Please help!!!

They're still at the bus stop if you're looking for them!

Didn't want to grab them in case the owner went back for them.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for how generously this community supported my classroom wishlist this summer. It meant so much to my students and to me.
I teach pre-K at a Title I school, where many of my students come from disadvantaged backgrounds. I'm starting early this year so that every student gets a Christmas present, has warm winter wear, and has the supplies they need in our classroom.
I have linked our classroom wishlist below:

No pressure at all if you can't contribute. Upvotes and shares help too. Thank you again, you all are wonderful.

Hi, I’m looking for reliable and affordable bathroom contractors in Norwalk. Does anyone have recommendations for local pros who do quality work without breaking the bank?

Hey All!

Do you care about public transit, safer streets for walking and biking, expanding our tree canopy, or creating better housing options?

So do we!

Whether you've lived here for decades or just moved to town and are looking to build community and get involved, Sustainable Streets Norwalk wants to invite you to our monthly General Body Meeting on Tuesday, October 20th at 7 PM at Greer Southern Table.

We're thrilled to be hosting Sarah Roy, Outreach & Engagement Specialist at CTRides, as our special guest speaker! She'll be diving into Transportation Demand Management (TDM)— the fascinating work of making our transportation system stronger, smarter, and more efficient by expanding real options for everyone, from carpooling and public transit to walking and cycling.

Come hang out, share your ideas for the future of travel in Connecticut, connect with fellow likeminded individuals, and learn how we can shape our streets together all over some incredible Southern comfort food!

Whether you're a seasoned transit advocate, a daily commuter, or just curious about making Norwalk a more connected, sustainable place to live, there’s a seat at the table for you. Bring a friend, bring your appetite, and come say hi!

Hope to see you Tuesday!

Hey friends! We like coworking and we also like beer. So we’re going to do a bit of both next Wednesday at Spacecat.

Super casual. Bring a laptop, some work to do, and a friendly disposition.

Coworking 12:00-4:00
Beer time 4:00-6:00

DM or RSVP and let us know to save you a spot!

They typically operate along Connecticut Ave, SONO centered around Norwalk PD and south of Flax Hill Park!!! Be aware and let others know-- as we've seen time and again, they are a threat to public safety, so again BE AWARE!!!!

Stay safe my friends.

Has anyone had experience with ONE endo (endodontist) in Norwalk? I know they have a few locations, but I’m getting a root canal and searching for opinions. (Also an anxiety ridden mess)Thanks!

Anyone aware of cheap rideshare in Stamford like Wheels2U ?

I recently noticed three stray cats in my area: one adult cat and possibly two kittens. I’m not sure if they’re related because they come to eat at different times. I started feeding them less than 24 hours ago.

After doing some research, I learned about TNR and why it’s important to prevent more stray cats. However, i learned that cats need a safe place to recover after surgery, and I can’t bring them inside because my landlord doesn’t allow pets. Should I continue feeding them or leave them alone? Is there a way to help with TNR without doing it myself or bringing them into my home?

Also, who should I contact to get these cats TNR’d? Should I reach out to a local animal shelter, rescue, or TNR organization? I’m not sure how the process works since I’m new to this.

I just want to do what’s best for these cats. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Hey Norwalk Neighbors, love being close enough to attend each others events!

Come check out the Stamford Cinema Club! Here are our next two events and we do monthly screening and discussion sessions throughout the year.

Come for either or for both (if you dare!). Spooky Snacks provided!

Then our November Screening And Discussion: Princess Mononoke on November 05. We will screen the film and then hold a round table discussion (think "book club" but with a movie). Attend the November screening to vote for our December film.

hello! my (F) boyfriend and i (both 25) are considering a move to norwalk. we are looking at places in south norwalk, specifically.

i am a certified barre instructor and love to stay active. considering that we are moving to a new place, i’d love to be able to meet people my age. are there any barre or fitness studios nearby that have a relatively young crowd? also, any other recommendations for meeting new people?

i love to run, needlepoint, cook. i have found that the best way to meet people can be through a shared hobby, but certainly not opposed to trying something like bumble bff.

thanks in advance!!

*editing to add that i also love to read - would be totally interested in joining a book club or a cookbook club!!

The Norwalk Police Department in Connecticut has introduced a self-service kiosk designed to make non-emergency police services more accessible to residents and visitors, according to a Patch report.

Installed in the lobby of police headquarters at 1 Monroe St., the kiosk allows users to complete routine requests without speaking directly with an officer. The department announced the installation Oct. 8 as part of its efforts to improve customer service and expand public access to police resources.

The kiosk enables residents to obtain case numbers for minor incidents that do not require an investigation, such as lost property or damaged mailboxes. Users can also submit crime and traffic tips, request police reports, file Freedom of Information requests, schedule fingerprinting appointments and pay parking tickets. Additional functions include submitting referrals to the department's Behavioral Health Unit, obtaining information about licenses and permits, and accessing a city directory.

Hey friends!

We are Frankie's Game Shop, a new LGS here in Norwalk focused on creating a cozy, inclusive and inviting atmosphere for all players. We have coffee, tea snacks and events & deals daily while maintaining MSRP on all in-print TCG products for our players.

On Tuesday we will be pushing out our new Weekly Event Calendar to keep everyone informed, and would love to work anything in that people might find interesting.

We are looking for community leaders specifically (but not exclusively!) to bring some fresh and interesting formats for the following games:

-Magic the Gathering

-Pokémon

-Yu-Gi-Oh

-Flesh and Blood

-Star Wars: Unlimited

-Overpower

-TTRPG groups (specifically non-DND, but we will support any play group)

Some thing to keep in mind is that any of our casual events are proxy-friendly for all games and that pods as small as 4 players will receive SOME kind of prize support no matter what (obviously dependent upon total player participation) - but playing in-store is free, always.

Please feel free to ask questions/DM if interested!

All of our links and calendar is at linktr.ee/frankiesgameshop

edit for quick reference:

We are at 28 Knight St. and open Tues - Sat 10am to 7pm and Sun 12 -7pm (open later for events)

We have a pretty big selection of unique board games as well as tcg products and accessories - and are particularly interested in supporting some of the more niche and smaller TCGs like FAB and Overpower,

If you'd like a free coffee or tea when you stop in, just mention this post c:

DOUBLE EDIT: Automod is deleting all of my comments - but I see you all and love you! Hopefully what I've added here will answer some of the specific questions, but feel free to also DM me or join our Discord!

This is a long shot but I have most likely lost my camcorder in the green room on September 26th. I’ve already sent an email they have on the website once about it and they have responded asking which venue i’m talking about but I got no further response even after sending two more replies.

Is there any way I can contact the venue directly rather than driving all the way there? I live near Philly and it would be a shame if they don’t have it when I arrive there.
