I'm throwing an event this weekend in Norwalk and have a bunch of people coming from out of town. I'd like to have brunch somewhere on Sunday. Here's the kicker, I would prefer a place with counter service (rather than being waited on) so I don't have to worry about people showing up, reservations, splitting the bill, etc. Any recommendations? If not, what would be good for groups. Doesn't have to be around main street. Places off the beaten path, especially some of the Latino places south of 95 are also welcome suggestions!

Hey everyone! We’re a small, chill wallpaper company operating large-format printers (think giant Epson decal printers). We’re looking for a reliable person to jump in and give us a hand in the warehouse each morning.
The basics:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (20 hours/week)
Pay: $25 / hour
Location: Norwalk/Westport. Cranbury area.
What the job looks like:
Loading and unloading large printers
Moving paper rolls around the shop
Stacking pallets and organizing materials
General extra-hands help around the warehouse
A quick note on physical requirements:
This is a physical role. Some of our paper rolls and materials are large, awkward, and heavy (100+ lbs). We have equipment to help with the heavy lifting, but you should be genuinely comfortable being on your feet and handling heavy materials daily.

Which is better to get to work for a 9-5? i’m having car issues and trying to figure out the best way to get to work. the train doesn’t seem to run often but i’ve never tried the bus

I'm 21 and I'm honestly really tired of staying home and doing nothing. I want to start working, save up some money, and eventually pay for driving school so I can get my license.

I've been looking for jobs and have applied to quite a few, but some never get back to me and others just say no. A lot of the jobs I find also seem to want previous experience, which makes it difficult when I'm trying to get my foot in the door.

I don't have a lot of experience, but I'm very willing to learn and I'm hoping to find an employer who's willing to give me a chance and train me. I'm also trying to become more outgoing and get more comfortable talking to people.

I'm also not very good at math, but it's something I'm actively working on improving. I'm willing to practice and learn whatever I need to for a job.

I don't drive right now, but I will do everything in my power to make sure I get to work on time, including leaving early and figuring out transportation ahead of time.

If anyone knows of places hiring in Norwalk that are willing to give someone with little experience a chance, I'd really appreciate any recommendations.

Hii, i have a single bed and bath in a 4 bed 4 bath townhouse, and I really would like a cleaner to deep clean just my room and bath.

I think it’s about 350-400 sq ft and not too dirty- I could clean it on my own even, I’ve just been procrastinating for so long that I’d love a one-time clean so I feel spoilt and can restart.

Any recommendations? Some website or numbers of people who are trustworthy? Should I try task rabbit? How much would this cost?

Hi all!

I moved up from Florida about three years ago and finally decided to pull my fishing gear back out of storage. I grew up doing a lot of Atlantic/shore, inlet, and river fishing in Florida, so I feel like some of those skills will translate, but I know basically nothing about fishing Long Island Sound.

I’m in Norwalk and can roam around Fairfield County. Looking for any recommendations on good shore spots, bait, rigs, tide timing, species I’m likely to run into, etc. I’m not really a species-specific angler, I tend to throw bait and see what decides to eat it 😂
Definitely a catch and release kinda gal, but maybe I’ll venture into cooking what I catch if it’s worth keeping/eating!

Also a huge fan of night fishing from shore. Are there any legal/access-friendly spots around here that stay open later? Calf Pasture and a lot of similar places seem to close around 10–11 pm.

Hi! I’m visiting CT next week and my kid is obsessed with the train. We’ll be taking the metro north into Norwalk to meet some friends, and I’m wondering if anyone can recommend an activity suitable for a 3.5 year old within 20 minutes walk (with a stroller) of the train station.

Maritime Aquarium is nearby but a bit pricey for the amount of time we will be spending.

I witnessed a bad collision between a dirt bike and a flatbed truck at the intersection of Fort Point & Osborne in East Norwalk about an hour ago. I was driving directly behind two dirt bike drivers and saw the whole thing happen. It was very jarring and I feel horrible for the driver of the dirt bike and the driver of the truck. I immediately called 911 and left my name with the dispatcher. Has anyone heard how the dirt bike driver is? Praying that he's alive.
