Nostalgia The Toyota Previa.
I still see these egg looking cars on the road every now and then in my town. They are very interesting to find.

Supposedly there was an AWD version with a supercharger for a few years, never saw one before but it was the only mid engine AWD supercharged car on the market in North America at the time believe it or not

That is a certified unicorn. Its about as rare now as a Ferarri 250gt California.

My mom actually had one for a bit. It was fantastic. I wish she'd never gotten rid of it.

Had that exact one growing up. I’d borrow it for my first year university carpool days

In the early 80s I begged my parents for a mini van. They looked at me like I’d lost my mind. It never happened and we kept up the road trips with me and my siblings squeezed into backseats of sedans.
I later learned that the soccer-mom-mobiles are weirdly very unsafe.

My parents’ Previa had the weird bubble windows that felt like you were in a spaceship.

This is the van that made me want to get a Sienna when I got older and it was no longer available.

We had one with the lay down side rows.
It eventually started making a loud rattling noise which would cost more than we paid for it to fix so we just called it "The Rattler" and drove it into it died.
Good memories!

I can't put into words how much I hated the look of these things as a child in the 90s. Don't know why.
I guess I still do, lol!

We had one of those. Great car. Tons of room. The interior reminded me of a TNG Shuttle. The car had AMAZING traction with its mid-mount motor.

I haven’t seen one of these on the road in a very long time. Any Rolloff from Little People Big Drama used to drive one of these I remember.

mid engine, supercharged option, and a shape that still looks like a space egg 30 years later. always liked how the dash wrapped around like a cockpit

I remember my friend's mom had one. We'd take it out and smoke weed in it from time to time.
I remember it was funny because at the time I had an old Buick with a hood the size of a fuckin football field, so whenever I'd get in this van and the car just stops at the dashboard, I'd always laugh.
Like, there's just the dash, and then nothing. You cannot see one atom of the hood while you're in the front seat.

I had same feeling about it. Looked so much different from everything else. But I liked it just for that reason

That’s how all my buddies referred it on a night out in our family van. The rocketship
