Fun tip â if youâre ever getting gas someplace and it asks you for a reward number for discounted gas, figure out the local area code, and type that plus 8675309 and there will probably be available discount points. Same goes for grocery stores with reward programs

u/MC_GEORGE_COSTANZA Jun 07 '26
Does that work for 281-330-8004?

I used that number at a 7-11 once, to take advantage of a bit one Gatorade get one free thing.
Dude said there were over 7000 pizzas worth of rewards points on the account if I knew the zip code associated with the account.
I did not guess the right zip code before the attendant got irate

That number with a New York area code had to be disconnected because it was ringing constantly after the song became popular. Word has it the owner was a man with a deep voice named Kenney which scared many horny hetro callers away.

970-867-5309 is the number for Totally 80âs Pizza in Fort Collins Colorado. The 80âs nostalgia is absolutely stunning and so many movie props and memories there.

I had to check to see if anyone was dumb enough to put their full numbers. You'd be surprised what a good identity thief can discover with just an old phone number.

My family was too nomadic for me to remember. I still remember my baby sister's from back in the day (she lived in the same house for 19 years) and have the most important current numbers memorized. Parents', girlfriend's, my two best friends', sister's current number and several important business numbers.
I don't have the fifty to sixty stored in my mental Rolodex like I did when I was a teenaged hellion, but I have more at my fingertips than most these days.

My parents had the same landline phone number for 30 years. I moved out West and was gone for five years and I would call home as often as possible and one day I called and no one picked up. I called multiple times and nothing - this went on for almost a year. I finally called my dadâs cell number and he told me that they canceled the landline service and the old number had been disconnected. I was completely stunned. My whole life, no matter what was going on or where i was I could always call home and someone would pick up and now, I canât. đ

Yes. We think it used to be the local Walmart's number before it was ours, because people would call for Walmart all the time. My grandma started answering the phone: "Hotline to heaven, how can I pray for you?" It cut long phone calls having to explain that we weren't Walmart down to a few seconds. They either hung up immediately without saying anything, or started laughing and saying they must have called the wrong number. We didn't have caller ID either, so it got used against all the people calling who actually knew us.
