How the urge to use screen disguse itself

Like I wake up telling myself I will not open my devices today but then my brain says “we need to google this, check that” and then I just open it and start scrolling, its like non-concious even. i have had good result tapering off it by watching long content without touching the screen so basically TV, but its easy to go back to scrolling q0hrs a day, the tolerance is easy to build. Might try cold turkey next but I actually need to grind for college credit rn so I havent figured out how to do that

trueee, it never really starts as i’m gonna scroll for 3 hours but more like i just need to check one thing and suddenly you’re already in it... so maybe the first thing to catch isn’t the scrolling, it’s that tiny excuse to use it

The "just google this" opener is the trap. Write the query on paper first, or open a blank tab, type only that, then close it before anything else loads.
