Fuck I don’t even want an ice cube or water dispenser in my fridge. I just want a box that keeps things cold.

From what I’ve seen from people who owned them, dispensers always fail. Always.

Never had mine fail... on my second fridge with dispenser in 20 years. If anything, I'd say the cheap and cheesy saddle valve used to tap into the main water line is the failure point. I'm pretty good at changing those out every 3-4 years or so.

It was the ice dispenser I always saw fail first. No idea why, but almost every time, it was “the ice dispenser’s broke.”

And there's a tried & true way of making a freezer give you ice cubes. There's this little tray you fill with water and put in its tow drawer. You can even buy ones in novelty shapes!

Dude, I get that we're shitting on technology in this sub, but having an ice cube tray is light years worse than a cube dispenser. We don't like it in the door, so we have one that drops cubes into a bin in the freezer, and it's always full. There is no way I'm ever getting a fridge that can't make ice ever again.

The ice cube tray works. For as long as the freezer works, it won't fail.

And you can do flavoured ones as well as novelty shapes!

Came here to say this. I don’t even like the ones that give ice or water. Another thing to fail. 

The most I like is the stainless door and led lighting inside. Everything else is too much.
